BYAHEREAD: Road to Elevate Young Readers πŸšπŸ“š

The NextGen Language Educators Society (NLES), in partnership with the BSED English program, successfully conducted the outreach initiative β€œBYAHEREAD: Road to Elevate Young Readers” at Purok 3, Sector 4, Golf Village, Barangay Calarian. The program aimed to foster literacy, promote language development, and strengthen community engagement.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by the emcees Ryan Delos Reyes and John Gerald Falcasantos, followed by an energetic icebreaker led by Aleea Rania Abdulmuhmin and Hana Sabtula. These activities set the tone for an interactive storytelling session, which was complemented by phoneme lessons from Cecille Gonzales and Janiel Lismis. Lastly, Jake Rojas led an interactive drills designed to enhance foundational reading skills. The program concluded with the distribution of learning and hygiene kits, followed by a fellowship meal with the participants.

This initiative would not have reached its full potential without the unwavering support and collaborative efforts of the following individuals and organizations. We extend our sincere appreciation to our program adviser, Abee M. Eijansantos, Ph.D., for his steadfast guidance and support; to the NLES officers, BSED English students, and volunteers for their tireless dedication; and to our partner community, led by Purok Leader Ms. Rhadzma Payao, for her vital assistance and coordination. Furthermore, we are deeply grateful to the KK of Brgy. Calarian, led by John Michael Jaani, for their valuable support, as well as to the barangay officials of Barangay Calarian for their cooperation and for providing essential transportation services.

We are likewise grateful to the parents for their trust and to all stakeholders who warmly welcomed and supported this initiative. This endeavor reflects our shared commitment to nurturing young readers and empowering communities through education.

The best way to predict the future is to create it, one reader at a time. πŸ“–
