| International Youth Day 2026
On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the Basic Education Department of Southern City Colleges was grateful to be invited to the meaningful celebration of International Youth Day 2026, held at Paseo del Mar, Zamboanga City.
The event reminded us that the youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow but the changemakers of today. As the saying goes, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.”
May we continue to use our voices, talents, and actions to inspire, empower, and create meaningful change in our communities.
The youth are not waiting for the future—we are shaping it today.

LOOK | Servant Leadership Seminar
"Leadership begins with service."
Today, the SSLG officers of Senior High and Junior High school took part in a meaningful Servant Leadership Seminar, where we explored the 10 Principles of Servant Leadership—Listening, Empathy, Healing, Awareness, Persuasion, Conceptualization, Foresight, Stewardship, Commitment to the Growth of People, and Building Community.
More than learning leadership skills, this seminar reminded us that true leaders serve with humility, lead with compassion, and inspire positive change through their actions.
May today's lessons guide us as we continue to lead with purpose, integrity, and a genuine heart to serve.

| Light of Service: SCC's 80th Outreach for Hope and Unity
At Southern, we believe that the greatest lessons are learned when we choose to serve. Every smile shared, every hand extended, and every act of kindness reflects what SCC CARES truly means.
SCC CARES is more than just a tagline—it is a promise that we live by. Through Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service, Southern City Colleges continues to make a difference not only inside the classroom but also in the communities we serve.
As part of the 80th Anniversary Celebration of Southern City Colleges, an Outreach Program was successfully conducted at Purok 5, Barangay Labuan, Zamboanga City. During the activity, 300 children received hygiene kits and nutritious meals. The Basic Education SSLG officers and adviser, faculty members, the NNTP Director, staff, students, and volunteers came together with one purpose: to extend a helping hand and bring hope to the residents through various outreach activities.
Here's to 80 years of excellence, compassion, and service—continuing to inspire hope, strengthen communities, and make every act of kindness count. 💙
