Please be informed that Shernalyn A. Osama, Chairwoman of the MSA-AdZU Women's Committee, will be on a Leave of Absence from September 16 to 18, 2026 to attend the mandatory Senior’s Retreat organized by the Campus Ministry Office.

During this period, Ylexa Fatima G. Yusop (Vice Chairwoman for Internal Affairs) will serve as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) to manage the committee’s administrative duties and ongoing initiatives.

For any urgent matters, official communications, or immediate concerns, you may reach out to her directly via Facebook (Ylexa Yusop). Regular organizational duties will resume on September 19, 2026.

Alhamdulillāh! The Muslim Students Association – Ateneo de Zamboanga University (MSA-AdZU) officially announces the appointment of our Executive Council & Committee Heads for AY 2026–2027 under Memorandum No. 001-2627.

As our newly appointed leaders step into their roles, they are called to serve with sincerity (ikhlas), accountability (amanah), and dedication—upholding Islamic values while strengthening brotherhood and sisterhood across the university.

We ask for your support and prayers as our officers work to foster faith, leadership, and unity within our student community. May Allāh ﷻ grant them wisdom and success in their service. Ameen. 🤲🏻✨

𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 | 𝙅𝙪𝙢𝙪’𝙖𝙝 𝙂𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 ✨

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ۝ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ ۝ الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

“And those who carefully maintain their prayers—those are the inheritors, who will inherit al-Firdaws. They will abide therein eternally.”
— (Sūrah Al-Mu’minūn 23:9–11)

Brothers and sisters, as another blessed week comes to an end, Allāh ﷻ grants us the sacred day of Jumu’ah—a beautiful opportunity to pause, reflect, and renew our commitment to Him.

This Jumu’ah, we are reminded of the profound importance of Salah—the prayer that connects us to Allāh ﷻ, strengthens our faith, and brings barakah into our lives. Salah is not merely an obligation, but a daily act of worship through which we seek guidance, find peace, and draw closer to our Creator.

In shā’ Allāh, 𝐙𝐚𝐲𝐝 𝐓. 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐝 will be sharing a meaningful reminder on the importance of Salah and the role it plays in the life of a believer.

Let us take this opportunity to step away from our busy schedules, gather as a community, and remind ourselves of the prayer that should remain at the heart of our daily lives.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِن يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

“O you who have believed‚ when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu’ah‚ proceed to the remembrance of Allāh and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.” — (Sūrah Al-Jumu‘ah 62:9)

Brothers and sisters‚ as another productive week draws to a close‚ Allāh ﷻ grants us the blessed day of Jumu’ah—a sacred opportunity to pause‚ gather as a community‚ and realign our hearts with His divine guidance.

𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 | 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙝 ✨

اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ ۖ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَىٰ عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ

“Recite, [O Muḥammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allāh is greater. And Allāh knows that which you do.” — (Sūrah Al-’Ankabūt 29:45)

Brothers and sisters, as we navigate our busy academic schedules, endless requirements, and daily responsibilities, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet, Allāh ﷻ has gifted us with five daily opportunities to step away from the noise of the world, reset our hearts, and stand before Him in complete peace.

In shā’ Allāh, 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐡 𝐉. 𝐏𝐮𝐭𝐢 will be leading our prayer and sharing a meaningful reminder on the Importance of Salāh.

Salāh is not merely a task to tick off our daily checklist; it is the very backbone of our deen, our direct conversation with our Creator, and the primary source of barakah in our time, studies, and efforts. When we ground our day around our prayers, Allāh ﷻ puts order into everything else.
