The College of Teacher Education (CTE) of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) successfully concluded its 2-Day Curriculum Review and Consultative Forum held on July 29–30, 2026, at the College’s Audio Visual Room.

With the theme, “𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐀 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞,” the two-day activity served as a significant milestone in the College’s continuing commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

The first day featured a consultative forum where stakeholders from various sectors shared valuable insights, experiences, and recommendations regarding the implementation of the College’s teacher education programs. Their constructive feedback highlighted the strengths of the existing curriculum while identifying opportunities for improvement to ensure greater responsiveness to the evolving needs of learners, schools, and the teaching profession.

Building on these discussions, the second day was dedicated to the comprehensive review and enhancement of course syllabi. Faculty members collaborated to revisit course outcomes, learning activities, assessment strategies, and instructional approaches, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, quality assurance standards, and current trends in teacher education. The workshop also emphasized the integration of stakeholder feedback into syllabus development, fostering a more relevant, outcomes-based, and learner-centered curriculum.

The successful completion of the curriculum review reflects the College’s unwavering dedication to continuous quality improvement and its readiness to embrace future developments in teacher education. It also reinforces the institution’s mission of preparing competent, ethical, innovative, and globally competitive educators who will contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

The College of Teacher Education extends its sincere appreciation to all stakeholders, resource persons, faculty members, administrators, and staff whose active participation and invaluable contributions made the activity a success. Please be informed that enrollment activities at the College of Teacher Education (CTE) will be temporarily suspended on July 29–30, 2026 to give way to the Curriculum Review.

📅 Enrollment services will resume on July 31, 2026 (Friday).

We encourage all students who still have pending enrollment transactions to plan accordingly.
