Capacity Building on Bangsamoro History, Culture, and Tradition

LOOK | Ms. Ayshia Fernando Kunting, faculty member of Western Mindanao State University, met with Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali last March 8 at the Sabdani Bulante Conference Room.

Ms. Kunting presented copies of her books, 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒈: 𝑺𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒁𝒂𝒎𝑩𝒂𝑺𝒖𝒍𝑻𝒂 𝑯𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆, to the Chancellor. They also discussed future collaborations on Islamic studies and local heritage areas.

Accompanying Ms. Kunting were Mr. Rajibal Garcia Hadjula of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University and Mr. Serhan Daris, Tawi-Tawi Provincial Public Relations Officer.

Important reminders:

1. The PHA Annual Conference 2022 will be live streamed via Facebook. Participation at Zoom is exclusive to PHA members and paying participants (non-members).

2. Certificate of Participation will only be issued to Zoom participants who have answered the evaluation form. Non-active PHA members can attend the conference via Zoom by renewing their PHA membership.

3. The registration fee for the three-day conference is seven hundred pesos only (P700.00). (Free for lifetime members and active annual members.)

4. Interested participants may pay the registration fee on or before 20 September 2022. Paid participants may apply as PHA members. Active PHA members and Lifetime members can join the Conference for free but should register online.

5. All participants should register at https://bit.ly/3RdAcyX. The conference zoom link will be emailed to registered participants on or before September 20.

6. Paper presenters who are active PHA and Lifetime members are expected to confirm their participation and comply with the conference instructions. Non-appearance from the event may bar them from participating in future activities of the Association.

7. Paper presenters who are not PHA members are expected to pay the registration fee to be able to join Zoom and present their papers. However, they are invited to apply as PHA members (annual membership only), just present their proof of payment and fill out the necessary form. Likewise, non-appearance at the event may bar them from participating in future activities of the Association.
