Today, we join the entire Zamboanga City community in mourning the tragic loss of two young lives. ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ค
The Zamboanga National High SchoolโWest Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, loved ones, classmates, teachers, and the entire school community affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
May this day remind us of the importance of compassion, unity, and keeping our schools and communities safe. Let us take this time to grieve, pray, reflect, and stand together with those who are hurting.
In respect and solidarity, classes are SUSPENDED on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, which shall be observed as a Day of Mourning.

Buwan ng Wika 2026 ๐ต๐ญ
BUWAN NG WIKA 2026: Makabagong Teknolohiya para sa Makabagong Kinabukasan
Sa pagbubukas ng Agosto 2026, ipinagdiriwang natin ang makulay na Buwan ng Wika kung saan ipinapakita ng bawat Pilipino ang pagpapahalaga sa kultura, pagkakaisa, at pagkakakilanlan.
Kasabay nito ang temang โWIKANG FILIPINO at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyonโ na ipinahihiwatig na ang Artificial Intelligence (AI) ay hindi dapat maging kalaban ng Wikang Filipino; bagkus, gawin itong kasangkapan at kaagapay sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman at sa pagpapaunlad ng makabagong panahon habang pinananatili ang pagkatao. Bibigyang-pansin din sa pagdiriwang ito ang kapangyarihan ng teknolohiya bilang tulay tungo sa mas maliwanag na bukas.
Ayon kay Atty. Marites E. Barrios-Taran, Tagapangulo ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), ang hakbang na ito ay isang matatag at positibong inisyatiba ng pamahalaan upang matiyak na ang Wikang Pambansa at ang mahigit 135 katutubong wika sa Pilipinas ay patuloy na mapapanatiling buhay at umuunlad sa panahon ng digital na teknolohiya.
Bilang Pilipino, maging responsable pa rin sa paggamit ng AI. Dapat alamin ang limitasyon nito dahil may epekto pa rin ito sa tao. Ang mga makabagong teknolohiya ay isa lamang inobasyon na sumusunod sa mga utos, ngunit wala itong damdamin at puso na kayang umunawa sa saysay at kaluluwa ng bawat mamamayan.
