ORIENTATION SEMINAR ON THE PHILIPPINE ANTI-HAZING ACT OF 2018 (RA 11053)

The Corps of Officers successfully participated in the Orientation Seminar on the Philippine Anti-Hazing Act of 2018 (Republic Act No. 11053), reaffirming its commitment to promoting discipline, respect, accountability, and a safe learning environment for every student.

This seminar emphasized that true leadership is founded on integrity, professionalism, and service—not through violence, intimidation, or hazing. As future maritime professionals, we remain dedicated to upholding the values of honor, respect, and zero tolerance for hazing in our institution.

The Corps of Officers extends its heartfelt gratitude to C/E. Jeoffrey S. Mojana, Dean of the College of Maritime Education, 2/M Nonito A. Tablante Jr., Commandant of the College of Maritime Education, and Dr. Lilia B. Bayos, Head of the General Education Department (ENGEC), for their unwavering support and commitment to the holistic development of our students.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Michael M. Cabiles, Ed.D., Director of ZPPSU-DRRMO, for sharing his valuable knowledge and insights on the Philippine Anti-Hazing Act. Your expertise and dedication have greatly contributed to strengthening our awareness and commitment to fostering a culture of respect, responsibility, and safety within our academic community.

“Leadership is earned through integrity. Discipline is strengthened through respect. Together, we stand united in saying NO to hazing.”
