On August 21 to 23, 2026, DAGITAB 2026 lit up Polangi National High School in Catarman, Northern Samar, as a youth-centered celebration for Linggo ng Kabataan and International Youth Day, with LEaP! joining in the celebration. True to its name, "Dagitab" or spark, the event honored the potential, passion, courage, and leadership found in every young person, uniting diverse youth around one shared desire: to create change and inspire others. 🌱

The three-day gathering came alive through the Lighting of Dagitab, symbolizing the ignition of youth potential and collective action; the Parade of Light, representing youth voices, hope, and unity; house-based activities that built teamwork and leadership; and youth speakers and facilitators who shared knowledge and inspiration, all under a whole-of-society approach that brought together youth, government, schools, and partners as one. 💙

On August 13, 2026, the LEaP! Programme conducted an orientation for PESO Managers across Region 10, led by Program Manager Abmel I. Immid, held during the DOLE Region 10 and PESO/JPO Partners' Mid-Year Performance Assessment at Chali Beach Resort and Conference Center, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City. The orientation, part of DOLE-X's broader effort to chart strategies for stronger employment services, gave PESO Managers a closer look at LEaP!'s recent and ongoing collaborations with DOLE and PESO partners across the region. 🌱

This gathering reaffirms the shared commitment of DOLE Region 10, PESO/JPO partners, and LEaP! to strengthening employment pathways and expanding opportunities for every Filipino youth.

On July 30, 2026, the LEaP! Programme was honored at the City Education Development Office (CEDO) Cagayan de Oro City's Kinanao Awards 2026, held at the City Tourism Hall, receiving recognition as one of the city's partners in advancing quality education for its young scholars. 🌱

This honor reflects the strength of collaboration between local government and education partners in empowering the youth toward a brighter, more promising future.

On August 14, 2026, the LEaP! Programme, through ALTEC, successfully piloted its Hire-Ready Training in partnership with DOLE Region 10 in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, in celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan. Designed for underserved and first-time job seekers aged 18 to 24, the free training equipped young Bukidnonons with practical tools to boost their employability, including resume building, interview practice, communication skills, and confidence in applying for jobs. 🌱

The pilot run brought together eager young Kabatan-onan ready to take their first steps into the workforce, reflecting LEaP!'s continuing commitment to creating accessible pathways from learning to earning, one community at a time.

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University, through the Ateneo Learning and Teaching Excellence Center (ALTEC), and the Department of Education Schools Division of Zamboanga del Norte formalized their partnership for the LEaP! Programme with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on August 18, 2026, in celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan. This collaboration opens up opportunities for Senior High School and Alternative Learning System learners across Zamboanga del Norte to gain skills in work-readiness, digital literacy, and lifelong learning through the P2E and YOMA platforms. 🌱

The signing was graced by Dr. Majarani M. Jacinto, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd Zamboanga del Norte, and Mr. Rogin Christ Eribal, Director of ALTEC, together with education program specialists and coordinators from both institutions. This partnership stands as a renewed pledge to walk alongside young Zamboangueños in their journey from learning to earning. Para sa kabataan, one LEaP! at a time. 💙

From July 20–24, 2026, the Career Development for Young People programme reached over a hundred fresh graduates and young job seekers across Zamboanga City, equipping them for their transition into the workforce. Implemented through the City Government of Zamboanga's Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the LEaP! Programme of AdZU-ALTEC, and UNICEF Philippines, the five-day initiative combined digital microcourses on the LEaP! Learning Management System with face-to-face sessions on resume building, professional communication, interview readiness, and job search strategies. 💙

Participants left with stronger job application documents, new certifications, and greater confidence to pursue meaningful employment, a testament to what sustained collaboration among local government, schools, and development partners can build: accessible pathways from learning to earning for young Zamboangueños. 🌱

The Department of Education Schools Division of Dipolog City and the Ateneo de Zamboanga University, through the Ateneo Learning and Teaching Excellence Center (ALTEC), officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement on August 18, 2026, formalizing their partnership for the LEaP! Programme. Led by Dr. Ma. Liza R. Tabilon, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Dipolog City, and Mr. Rogin Christ Eribal, Director of ALTEC, the agreement paves the way for young Filipinos in Dipolog City, including out-of-school youth, ALS learners, and NEET youth, to access quality training in transferable skills, digital literacy, and work-readiness through the P2E and YOMA platforms. 💙

Witnessed by key education officials and program partners from both institutions, this partnership reaffirms a shared commitment to equipping Filipino youth with the tools they need to thrive in learning and in livelihood.

These snapshots capture the creativity, collaboration, and drive that defined the KITA KITA! experience.

This August 12, ALTEC's Learning to Earning Pathways (LEaP!) joined the Marcha de los Jovenes, walking from the City Fire Station all the way to Paseo del Mar alongside young people from across the city.

At Paseo del Mar, we set up our booth as part of the LYDC Org Fair, where students, youth, and LYDC member organizations came together to share their advocacies, connect with one another, and find ways to get involved. SK National President Cj Dalipe and Vice Mayor Beng Climaco also visited our booth during the fair.

Carrying this year's theme, "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations," the day was a reminder that we don't all start from the same place, but we're walking toward the same future.

LEaP! remains committed to walking with the youth, investing in learning, and opening pathways for every young person to grow.
