STRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE “NO UNIFORM, NO ENTRY” POLICY

All students are hereby advised that the “NO UNIFORM, NO ENTRY” policy shall be strictly enforced effective Monday, September 14, 2026.

Students are required to wear the complete and prescribed school uniform upon entering and while inside the University premises.

Please be reminded that caps, jackets, hoodies, and the like shall not be worn over the school uniform while inside the campus for security purposes

The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill conducted on September 10, 2026. The activity was facilitated by the ZPPSU Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) under the leadership of Dr. Michael M. Cabiles, ZPPSU DRRMO Director, with the support of the ZPPSU DRRMO Marshals and ZPPSU DRRMO Student Volunteers who assisted in the implementation of emergency procedures, evacuation management, and safety monitoring throughout the exercise.

The successful conduct of the drill was also made possible through the efforts of Engr. Henry Tubaña, ZPPSU DRRMO CME Coordinator, and Albert Villanueva, ZPPSU DRRMO SBA Coordinator, whose dedication and commitment contributed to the achievement of the activity's objectives.

The ZPPSU DRRMO extends its sincere gratitude to Prof. Josephine L. Sulasula, Vice President for Administration and Finance, and Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, ZPPSU President, for their unwavering support in promoting disaster preparedness, safety, and resilience within the university community.

This activity aimed to enhance earthquake preparedness, strengthen emergency response capabilities, and promote a culture of safety and resilience among students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders of the university.

PUBLIC ADVISORY| Face-to-face classes in all levels - both public and private schools in the city are SUSPENDED on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to high heat index.

Based on the latest PAGASA bulletin, Zamboanga City’s heat index is forecast to reach 41 degrees Celsius on Monday, Aug. 17.

Please be guided.

PUBLIC ADVISORY| Face-to-face classes at all levels - both public and private schools in the city are SUSPENDED on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to high heat index.

Based on the latest PAGASA bulletin, Zamboanga City’s heat index is forecast to reach 41 degrees Celsius on Monday, Aug. 17.

Nonetheless, work in government and private agencies, as well as business operations, continue as usual.

The public is advised to take extra precautions during periods of high heat index to prevent heat-related illnesses like cramps, exhaustion, and stroke. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, limit outdoor exposure between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, wear light clothing, and use sun protection.

The ZPPSU is actively participating in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. The institution has initiated evacuation procedures, conducted the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" exercise, and oriented students on earthquake preparedness and safety measures to raise awareness and promote disaster readiness.
