𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐘! 🇵🇭

The heroes we honor today were ordinary people who chose courage over fear, service over self-interest, and love of country over personal gain. Their sacrifices remind us that true heroism is not measured by fame or recognition, but by the lives we touch and the principles we stand for.

As we commemorate National Heroes Day, observed every last Monday of August, may we draw inspiration from their unwavering determination, resilience, and patriotism. Let their stories remind us that each of us has the power to create positive change through our actions, no matter how small. By choosing integrity, serving our communities, pursuing knowledge, and uplifting others, we continue the legacy they fought to build.

The future of our nation lies not only in remembering our heroes but in embodying the values they lived and died for. May their courage inspire us to dream bigger, rise stronger, and work together for a better Philippines.

Today, we honor the past, embrace the present, and inspire the future.

Happy National Heroes Day! 🇵🇭

𝐌𝐀𝐔𝐋𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐍 𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐈!

Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 1083, the observance of Mauluddin Nabi commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), a significant occasion for the Muslim community.

The ZSCMST Learning Resource Center joins our Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating this blessed day, reflecting on the values of faith, compassion, humility, and peace exemplified by the Prophet.

May this meaningful celebration bring abundant blessings, unity, and harmony to all.

Yesterday, August 21, 2026, the ZSCMST Learning Resource Center joined the “Sharing Hope and Dreams: A Community Care Program of Library Friends” in Barangay Bunguiao, Zamboanga City, an outreach activity spearheaded by the WMSU Library Friends.

One of the highlights of the program was a short talk by our Head Librarian, Ms. Katherine Joy S. Enriquez, on promoting a culture and love of reading among children. It was a meaningful opportunity to encourage young minds to discover the joy and value of reading.

Our LRC staff and volunteers also actively shared their talents and energy throughout the program, from hosting and facilitating activities to dancing and spending time with the children. It was a simple but meaningful way of sharing not only books and learning, but also love, joy, and hope with the community of Bunguiao.

We are grateful to the WMSU Library Friends headed by Dr. Benhur A. Asid for spearheading this meaningful initiative and to our fellow ZPPSU Library Friends headed by Dr. Jenelee C. Pastor for joining us in making the activity special.

Together, let us continue to bring the joy of reading closer to communities and inspire children to dream, learn, and believe in what they can become.

“𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐎 𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑." – 𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎 “𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐘” 𝐀𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐎 𝐉𝐑.

On this day, we honor the life, courage, and sacrifice of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., whose unwavering commitment to democracy and freedom inspired a nation.

Established through Republic Act No. 9256, every August 21 serves as a reminder of the values he stood for justice, truth, and the power of the Filipino people.

May his legacy continue to inspire us to protect our democratic institutions and work toward a better future for all. Let us remember, reflect, and remain committed to the ideals of freedom and national unity.
