Currents accepts research articles in the fields of arts and humanities, linguistics and applied linguistics, education, fisheries and aquaculture, marine sciences, food science and technology, hospitality and tourism, social sciences, post-harvest technology, marine transportation, marine engineering, and other related disciplines.

All papers will be blind reviewed by our capable technical reviewers. Accepted papers will be published 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲.

Para na palabra de este dia, aprende kita con el palabra "morisqueta".

El palabra "morisqueta" amo el palabra ta usa antes con el palabra "kanun". Na Mexico, el morisqueta un clase de comida desde Apatzingán, Michoacán que ta contene kanun, ajos, frijoles y sauce de tomates. Na Chavacano, ya queda lang este simple terminologia, quere decir "rice".

Por causa na influencia del maga lenguaje de Cebuano o Bisaya, ya adapta kita con el palabra "kan-on". Usando el sistema fonologia del Chavacano, ta pronuncia kita con este "kánun" en vez del "kan-ón".

NEWS UPDATE

Dr. Elvira E. Salian, faculty member of the English Department, is among the five Filipino delegates currently in Busan, Republic of Korea, for the 2025 ODA Train The Trainer (TTT) Program for Maritime Education Training (MET) Instructors. Hosted by the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT), the training runs from August 3 to October 1, 2025.

First introduced in 2024, the TTT program aims to enhance the competence of instructors and professors from various maritime institutions, with the goal of elevating the quality and standards of the MET system.

This year’s cohort includes 19 participants from six countries: the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mexico, and Peru.

ZSCMST’s participation in this prestigious program reflects its dedication to the continuous professional growth of its faculty, ensuring that its teaching approaches remain aligned with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards and responsive to the evolving needs of the maritime industry.

The English Department and the entire ZSCMST community congratulates Dr. Salian for representing the College and the country in this international training, and wishes her continued success in her professional endeavors.
