𝐂𝐅𝐄𝐒 – 𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝟏.𝟏: 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | The 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 held its first 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐀.𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 – 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 at 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐂 – 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥, uniting all trekkers to formally welcomed the journey ahead of this newly academic year.

To highlight this festive event, our supportive and respectable college dean 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐮𝐝𝐢 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐧 gave his glamorous welcoming remarks right after the preliminaries. He emphasized that a lot are treating forestry and environmental programs as their stepping stones; then along the way, it has to be realized the crucial niche and the unknowable yet impactful role of being a Forester and Environmentalist especially in our country.

Next on the stage stood sir 𝐉𝐮𝐟-𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐳, the faculty and adviser of two forestry organizations namely 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐅𝐒𝐁𝐎) and 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐉𝐅𝐀𝐏) WMSU Chapter. Sir Juf introduced the goals and visions of the two organizations; he also gave the spotlight to one of the former member of JFAP Organization andt also the faculty of the college, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧. Sir Noel took the spotlight as he gave further insights of being a member of the two notable organizations.

Next in line, the 𝐂𝐅𝐄𝐒 – 𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 brief the student body in its Constitutions and By-Laws (CBL) of the college. Maam 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐥𝐚, adviser of 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃) Organization alongside with 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫, presided for the orientation and brief discussion regarding the organization’s scope and vision; the election of officers was done after the orientation. Lastly, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 held the last mic for the discussion of ethics and thesis overview. As for the afternoon session, the election of four department organizations took place (𝐅𝐒𝐁𝐎, 𝐉𝐅𝐀𝐏, 𝐀𝐒𝐀, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐒𝐒) with the presence of the respective advisers, sir 𝐉𝐮𝐟-𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐳, sir 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐚, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫.

To conclude the said event, a photo of opportunity was held for the entire trekkers with Dr. Almudi Lukman and the faculties. Click and flash, there was also a photo from each department programs with their respective adorable first years.

After a long greenery productive day, duties abide and built bonds formed.

The 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 takes part of the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲 for 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 – 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 at 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐂 , gathering trekkers to exercise the annual tradition of volunteerism and commitment to the institution.

Starting with the registration of names followed by the orientation. Then right after that, trekkers were formally divided into groups and were dispatch for cleaning up to their assigned areas. Brooms are ready, dustpans assembled and trash bags hold on. Every greenery corner of the campus were seen bunch of trekkers diligently sweeping, dusting and tidying their respective areas.

As a duly 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬, this simple yet meaningful activity signifies the pride and loyalty that we have to our dearest university. Yet at the same time, as the known 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧-𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬, it was also our duty to maintain the well-being of our home campus.

In light with the Executive Order 01. S 2026, all CFES student are required to wear their uniforms every weekday except washday (Wednesday and Saturday) inside campus premises.

For dormers with no class, are allowed to wear civilian outside dormitory however, with appropriate, proper attire and adhering to Dress Code Policy of the university.

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), through its Student Handbook of Paragraph 1 and 2 of Chapter X Student Conduct Discipline and applicable university policies, prescribes the proper wearing of the University uniform and other appropriate attire by its students;

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦 students of the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies (CFES), regardless of their campus or location of classes, remain bona fide students of Western Mindanao State University and are therefore expected to observe applicable University policies;

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, every student must wear the prescribed school uniform unless for certain valid reasons, he/she has written exemption from the College Dean which he/she must show on demand;

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, students who have no classes but who come to school for research or other non-academic purposes must wear the uniform;

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, students who are not in uniforms shall not be allowed inside the university campuses;

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, every student must have a Western Mindanao State University Identification Card (ID), duly validated, that must be carried and displayed properly whenever s/he is within the University premises and classrooms. Any student who lends his/her ID to another person shall be subjected to disciplinary action. Refusal to wear this within the campus premises gets a corresponding disciplinary action. (Refer to Student Handbook)

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, the prescribed University uniform serves as an official means of identifying students as members of the WMSU community and promotes discipline, professionalism, and a sense of institutional identity;

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦, there is a need to reinforce and ensure consistent observance of the existing University policy on the prescribed uniform among CFES students;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, 𝗝𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗔. 𝗠𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗬, 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, by virtue of the authority vested in the office and consistent with the applicable provisions of the WMSU Student Handbook and University policies, hereby order:

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟭. 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲.
This Order shall apply to all bona fide students of the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies, regardless of their place of instruction, campus, or academic activity.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟮. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺.
All CFES students shall observe and comply with the prescribed WMSU uniform on days and occasions when the University requires its use, in accordance with the WMSU Student Handbook and applicable University policies.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟯. 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.
This Order is intended to reinforce the existing University uniform policy and to promote discipline, professionalism, unity, and institutional identity among CFES students. The wearing of the prescribed uniform shall likewise serve as a visible representation of one's membership in the WMSU community.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟰. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
The CFES Student Council shall disseminate this Order and conduct appropriate information activities to ensure that students are aware of the applicable uniform requirements.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟱. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
The implementation of this Order shall be undertaken in coordination with the appropriate CFES and University authorities and shall remain subject to the WMSU Student Handbook and other applicable University policies.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟲. 𝗡𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆.
Nothing in this Order shall be construed as creating, modifying, or expanding the University's existing uniform policy. This Order shall only reinforce and facilitate compliance with the applicable University rules.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟳. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆.
This Executive Order shall take effect upon issuance and shall remain effective unless amended, revoked, or superseded by a subsequent issuance or applicable University policy.

Pursuant to Western Mindanao State University Memorandum Order No. 001645, Series of 2026, dated August 11, 2026, authorizing the conduct of the
𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟱:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠, the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies (CFES) shall conduct its 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 as part of the University's observance of the said activity.

In view thereof, all bona fide students of the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies are hereby required to attend and actively participate in the said activity.

𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟭. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
All CFES students are required to attend the CFES General Assembly and Loyalty Day Celebration on August 15, 2026, at the designated venue and within the prescribed time indicated in the official program.
𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟮. 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Students shall register their attendance. Students shall remain at the designated venue for the duration of the activities unless otherwise authorized by the CSC Officers or appropriate CFES Faculty and Staff.
𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟯. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲
Students who are unable to attend due to a valid and justifiable reason shall submit the necessary proof or supporting documentation to the CSC Mayor within the prescribed period.
𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟰. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
The CFES Student Council shall facilitate the dissemination of this Memorandum Order, monitor attendance, and ensure the proper implementation of the provisions herein.
𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟱. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆
This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately upon issuance and shall remain in effect for the duration of the aforementioned activity.

Thank you for your time, effort, and passion. Your hard work behind the scenes made the CFES booth possible. You showed up, served, and proved that student leadership is about action.

The WMSU CFES Student Council also extends its deepest gratitude to the following Barangay Officials for accommodating and approving our request for a barangay service vehicle to transport us from WMSU Campus C to WMSU Campus A, and vice versa, for the preparations for the WMSU Grand Welcome:

𝐀 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬.

Continously, it brings to mind that neither a storm nor a sunny-sunshine owing to a flower blooms.

While everything blooms in brighter colors, its green shaded of forest-like flourished in a different way.

Freshmen trekkers have received a warm gift from the CFES-CSC, two-leaf attached on stem, the SPROUT✨️.
