The 11th Completion Ceremony of Bolong National High School for the Class of 2026 was held on March 30, 2026, at exactly 8:30 in the morning at the school’s open stage. Carrying the theme, “Pilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao,” the event marked a significant milestone in the lives of the completers, celebrating both their academic achievements and personal growth.

The ceremony formally began with a processional led by the completers together with their proud parents. They were joined by faculty members, school staff, SPTA officials, barangay officials, the guest speaker, and the school principal. A solemn atmosphere was immediately felt as the Grade 7 choir rendered the doxology, setting a reflective tone for the program. This was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, “Zamboanga Hermosa,” and the Division Hymn.

Delivering the welcome address was Mykaella Shane C. Tarroza, With Honors, who warmly greeted the guests and acknowledged the collective efforts that led to this meaningful occasion. One of the most emotional highlights followed—the donning of the sablay by the completers together with their parents, symbolizing shared sacrifices and success.
The presentation of candidates for completion was led by the School Principal, Dr. Jayraldine D. Quiaoit, who formally presented the completers to Dr. Vilma A. Brown. This was immediately followed by the confirmation of completers and the distribution of certificates of completion, marking the official recognition of the students’ hard work and perseverance.

A message from the Department of Education Secretary, Sen. Sonny Angara, was delivered through an audio presentation, inspiring the students to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society. Afterward, Dr. Jayraldine D. Quiaoit introduced the guest speaker, Dr. Elena F. Balan, whose speech centered on two key values—competence and knowledge. She emphasized the importance of resilience and integrity, leaving the completers with powerful words: “Do not count how many times you fail or fall, but count how many times you fall and fiercely rise,” and “Stay grounded in your principles.”

The ceremony continued with the awarding of honors and recognition, highlighting the outstanding achievements of the students. Representing the completers, Avrille-Julle G. Alfonso, With High Honors, delivered the completion message. Drawing inspiration from the song “Saranggola” by Ben&Ben, she expressed gratitude and reflection, quoting, “Kung aking uulitin itong mahabang biyahe, wala ’kong babaguhin, ni isang detalye.” She concluded with a timeless reminder: “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.”
As emotions filled the venue, the completers sang their moving-up song, “Saranggola,” followed by a heartfelt tribute performance of “Do I Make You Proud” by Taylor Hicks. During the tribute, students approached their parents, expressing their love and gratitude through warm embraces and meaningful gestures, creating one of the most touching moments of the ceremony.

In his closing remarks, Sir Joeffrey B. Teves, Master Teacher I, reminded everyone that “Moving up is a journey, not a destination,” encouraging the completers to continue striving for growth beyond the ceremony. Indeed, the BNHS Class of 2026 proved that they are not only academically prepared but also ready to lead with compassion, character, competence, and knowledge.
