August 10, 2026 | Flag Raising Ceremony

Another meaningful Monday was shared with our neighboring school, Magsaysay Elementary School, as we came together for the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony.

In adherence to the Schools Division of Zamboanga City Division Memorandum dated August 4, 2026, the school also conducted the recitation of the “Juramiento de un Empleado de Gobierno.” The activity served as a meaningful reminder of our responsibility as public servants to uphold integrity, commitment, accountability, and dedication in serving our learners and the community.

From recognizing our learners’ good habits to reaffirming our commitment to public service, these activities remind us that small acts of discipline and responsibility can create a stronger and more caring school community.

Indeed, at Lamisahan National High School, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom—it is also about building responsible learners, dedicated educators, and responsible citizens.

BFP Strengthens Emergency Preparedness at Lamisahan National High School

Two personnel from the Manicahan Fire Substation conducted an information campaign at Lamisahan National High School to promote awareness and preparedness during emergency situations.

As part of the campaign, QR codes containing emergency contact information were posted in designated areas of the school. These will provide easier access to emergency assistance in cases of fire, flood, storm, rescue operations, and other emergencies.

Lamisahan National High School extends its appreciation to the Bureau of Fire Protection, particularly the Manicahan Fire Substation, for this initiative and for helping keep our learners and school personnel informed, prepared, and safe.

School Community Unites Against Dengue

In response to the rising cases of dengue in the Zamboanga City, Magsaysay Elementary School and Lamisahan National High School joined forces in conducting a school clean up Pintakasi to help prevent the spread of dengue.

SPTA officers, parents, and the Barangay Council worked together in cutting grass, trimming trees, cleaning canals, and checking containers with stagnant water that may serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

The activity also included spraying of mosquito control treatment provided by the City Government, with manpower support from the Barangay Council, to help eliminate adult mosquitoes and their larvae.

Through the cooperation of our parents, SPTA officers, and Barangay Council, we continue to promote a clean and safe school environment for our learners.

Strengthening School Safety Through Community Partnership

In line with the Division Memorandum No. 0406, s. 2026 on the mandatory conduct of daily classroom and school vicinity inspections, Magsaysay Elementary School and Lamisahan National High School jointly held a meeting with the barangay officials headed by the Punong Barangay, Hon. Rodel
B. Alvarez, together with the School Parent Teacher Associations (SPTA) of both schools and their teaching personnel at the school covered court.

The meeting focused on strengthening school safety and security measures in response to recent violent incidents that have raised concerns about the safety of learners in schools across the country. It also emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for all learners and school personnel.

Through the support of the Barangay Council, two CCTV cameras and one metal detector were donated to help strengthen the school’s security measures.

Magsaysay Elementary School and Lamisahan National High School extends its sincere gratitude to the Barangay Council and all stakeholders for their continued support and commitment to the safety and welfare of our learners.

Together, we continue to work toward a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for everyone.

Strengthening Partnerships, Building Better Learners!

Lamisahan National High School successfully held its School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Meeting, bringing together our dedicated teachers and supportive parents for a meaningful morning of communication, collaboration, and shared commitment to our learners.

During the meeting, our teachers shared important updates and reminders on several matters concerning our students, including the new three-term school calendar, assessment and grading system, and learning support at home. Parents were also encouraged to help promote reading at home, monitor homework and schoolwork, and provide a supportive learning environment for their children.

A special part of the gathering was the first dialogue of our new School Principal, Sir Ruel Balahim, with the parents of the Lamisahan community. It was a wonderful opportunity to build rapport, listen to one another, and strengthen the partnership between the school and the families we serve. We look forward to working together under his leadership toward a more responsive and learner-centered school community.

After the general meeting, parents proceeded to their respective classrooms for the Homeroom PTA Meeting, where they met the new class advisers of their children and discussed important classroom concerns, expectations, and plans for the school year.

Indeed, when parents and teachers work together, learners are given a stronger foundation to learn, grow, and succeed.

LOOK | Lamisahan National High School Unite with BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026!

Last June 1 to 5, 2026, the Department of Education held the nationwide Oplan Balik Eskwela. The start of another meaningful journey of volunteerism, unity, and shared responsibility as we officially open Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Lamisahan National High School.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our dedicated teachers, parents, students, alumni, barangay officials led by our ever-supportive Punong Barangay, Hon. Rodel B. Alvarez, volunteers, and every member of the community who took the time to lend their hands and hearts in preparing our school for the new academic year. Your willingness to serve reminds us that education is truly a shared responsibility.

Every classroom cleaned, every area was beautified, and every act of kindness brings us one step closer to providing a safe, welcoming, and inspiring learning environment for our learners.
