𝗪𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗜𝗟𝗦 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

On the second day of the Opening Block for School Year 2026–2027, the Western Mindanao State University Integrated Laboratory School (WMSU ILS) High School Department observed Loyalty Day, a cherished tradition that fosters responsibility, discipline, teamwork, and school pride.

Students from all grade levels actively participated in a classroom clean-up and beautification activity, working hand in hand to deep clean, organize, and prepare their learning spaces for the start of regular classes. Armed with cleaning materials and a shared sense of purpose, they transformed their classrooms into clean, safe, and conducive environments for learning.

More than just a clean-up initiative, Loyalty Day served as a meaningful reminder that caring for one's classroom reflects respect for the university and a shared commitment to academic excellence. Through cooperation, volunteerism, and collective responsibility, students demonstrated that a positive learning environment begins with everyone doing their part.

The activity also reinforced the values of stewardship, unity, and service, highlighting the importance of maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming school environment for everyone.

As WMSU ILS High School officially begins another academic year, the observance of Loyalty Day marked a purposeful start—one founded on unity, responsibility, and the shared pursuit of excellence.

Together, we cleaned. Together, we prepared. Together, we begin another year of learning.

The program commenced with a solemn morning assembly, where the WMSU ILS community proudly sang the national and institutional hymns, recited the patriotic pledges, and reaffirmed the University's Vision, Mission, and Quality Policy—setting the tone for a school year anchored in excellence, service, and integrity.
Setting an optimistic tone for the year, Asso. Prof. Ronald O. Avenedo, Assistant Principal, delivered the Opening Remarks, followed by an inspiring Back-to-School Message from Dr. Riah R. Barcelona, ILS Principal, who encouraged students to embrace every challenge as an opportunity to learn, grow, and discover their full potential.
The celebration continued with the introduction of the faculty and staff, a captivating violin performance, the unveiling of the batch insignia, and an energetic batch yell that echoed throughout the campus, igniting school spirit and Crimson pride. Students were also oriented on the school's programs, policies, and expectations before meeting the class advisers who will guide and support them throughout their academic journey.
Just as every emotion in Inside Out has a purpose, every experience this school year—whether moments of joy, challenges that build resilience, discoveries that spark curiosity, or memories that shape character—will become an important part of each learner's story.
