Today we remember a great man who stood for his country 43 years ago and gave his life in the fight against tyranny.

The SSLG, in collaboration with the Youth City Officials and various schools and organizations, is knocking on your hearts. We are asking for donations which will help the families affected by the recent fires in barangays Sangali and Sta. Maria.

The city mayor, 𝙆𝙝𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙣 𝙏. 𝙊𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙤 has suspended face to face classes tomorrow, August 20, 2026.

This is to give way to fumigation efforts led by the city government amid the dengue epidemic in the city.

Earlier today in Sta. Maria, the home of 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹 was sadly among the 10 houses affected by the fire. The twins are alumni of Regional Science High School - IX, Batch '25-'26.

We humbly ask for any small donation to help them through this difficult time. In-kind donations such as used clothes, grocery items, toiletries or basic necessities are also appreciated. No amount is too small every contribution will make a difference. 🩵🙏

Face-to-face classes are suspended today, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, due to the city’s high heat index, as announced by 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙧 𝙆𝙝𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙏. 𝙊𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙤.

All students are advised to stay safe and await further announcements regarding class arrangements.

Look back at the SSLG at the "𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝘿𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙨 𝙅𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨" organized by the Local Youth Development Office. Youth from various schools and organizations marched together in celebration of International Youth Day. All from different backgrounds with common aspirations.
