From professional reporting to personal connections! The afternoon at the Villa Sta. Maria Multipurpose Hall transformed into a beautiful celebration of community, as we shifted from our formal conference to a heartfelt gathering with the people who made our journey so meaningful.

In our final messages to the community, we expressed our deepest thanks for the hospitality and cooperation that defined our stay. It was an emotional moment of farewell, but also one of immense pride. Seeing the Residents and Interns stand together, we felt a strengthened sense of shared achievement, knowing that while our Internship may be ending, the impact of our partnership will remain.

As the sun set on our final day, we left Villa Sta. Maria with full hearts and a deeper understanding of what it means to truly belong to a community. We didn't just work here, we grew here. 💙

A journey of heart and service comes full circle! A day of reflection and transition at the Villa Sta. Maria Purok 1, Multipurpose Hall as we gathered to evaluate our impact and officially turn over our initiatives to the community leaders who will carry them forward.

The morning began with focused anticipation as we finalized our terminal presentations. It was a proud moment for us Interns to review our journey, from the initial house-to-house profiling to the late-night planning sessions and meaningful community dialogues. Every slide and photograph captured the essence of our fieldwork, serving as a testament to the resilience and spirit of the people of Villa Sta. Maria.

The atmosphere was filled with inspiration as 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐄𝐥𝐢 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬 expressed his gratitude for our dedicated service, highlighting the tangible changes brought about by our initiatives. We were also honored by the presence of our mentors, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐑. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨 and 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐑. 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐭, who commended our growth and reminded us that passion and resilience are the true heartbeats of the Social Work Profession.

As we hand over these projects to the community, we do so with confidence and hope. We are no longer just interns leaving a site, we are future social workers leaving behind a legacy of empowerment and a foundation for a more sustainable tomorrow. 💙

What a journey it has been! They say great things take time, heart, and teamwork. The Social Work Interns are so proud to celebrate with the inspiring women of Purok 5 Women’s Organization, Villa Sta. Maria, for reaching this huge milestone together.

It all started with an inquiry at DOLE to learn the steps for registration. This was followed by a focused meeting where the Interns and the Women worked side-by-side to complete the forms and organize their documents. After getting everything notarized, the finish line was finally in sight.

The Social Work Interns successfully conducted the DIY Dishwashing Liquid Production activity for the residents of Purok 4 & 5 as part of the community skills development initiative. The activity aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in producing affordable and useful household products that may also serve as a potential source of income. Through active participation and cooperation, the residents learned the proper procedures, materials, and techniques in creating dishwashing liquid that can be utilized for daily household needs or small-scale livelihood purposes.

More than just learning a new skill, the activity inspired the residents to explore simple yet sustainable income-generating opportunities. Through teamwork, participation, and shared learning, the project showed the importance of empowerment and community cooperation in promoting growth and productivity within the community. 💙

Empowerment in action! Today was a day of growth and grit at the Villa Sta. Maria Multipurpose Hall as we gathered to strengthen leadership, promote community participation, and secure a brighter financial future.

The afternoon was a powerful journey toward self-reliance, starting with an inspiring session on organizational leadership led by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐒. 𝐀𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨 of JJC Zamboanga. He reminded us that true leadership is about guiding and inspiring others, a sentiment echoed by the officers of our Women’s Organization as they shared their commitment to service. This was paired with a deep dive into financial literacy with Kids Who Farm Hyperlokal Kapital, where participants learned to manage resources wisely to provide social protection and fuel their lifelong dreams.

With newfound knowledge and united hearts, the women of Villa Sta. Maria are no longer just dreaming of a better tomorrow, they are building it. 💙

Mission accomplished! The Second and Final Day of Project ABANTE: 2-Day TESDA Skills Training was a resounding success. Our participants from Purok 4 and 5, Villa Sta. Maria, leveled up their culinary skills with hands-on sessions on making Siomai (wrapper and filling), Fishballs, and Burger Patties.

Under the expert guidance of 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐃. 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞ñ𝐨, our residents practiced precise mixing, kneading, and seasoning techniques. We really appreciate the focus and cleanliness maintained by everyone to ensure high-quality products ready for potential livelihood.

The afternoon concluded with a heartwarming culminating activity. From an energetic opening to the proud awarding of Certificates of Completion, the atmosphere was filled with joy and hope. We also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to our trainer for her invaluable dedication. Ahora, tiene ya abilidad el maga residentes para man abante. 💙

Moving forward together! The Social Work Interns, in collaboration with TESDA, successfully kicked off Day 1 of Project ABANTE: 2-Day Skills Training. This initiative aims to equip the residents of Purok 4 and 5, Villa Sta. Maria, with sustainable livelihood skills and food processing techniques.

Our expert trainer, 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐃. 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞ñ𝐨, led an intensive hands-on session where participants mastered the art of making Siopao, Longganisa, Siomai and Tocino. From kneading the perfect dough to the proper curing of meat, the energy was high as everyone worked toward self-sufficiency.

Building on our commitment to a greener environment, the 4th implementation of our community clean-up drive was successfully conducted from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Residents and volunteers joined forces to ensure our surroundings remain vibrant and sustainable. Limpieza para el progreso de todos!

The Social Work Interns successfully conducted the 3rd implementation of Project SALVA today at Villa, Sta. Maria. This initiative continues to bridge the gap between environmental awareness and community safety, ensuring our residents are prepared for any caliber of emergency.🩵🤍

The day was filled with insightful learning during the BDRRMC Discussion, where the importance of localized disaster protocols was emphasized. To put theory into practice, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) led a hands-on Fire Extinguisher Demonstration. Residents learned the "how-to" of fire suppression, transforming fear into functional skills—asegura que sabe kita si paquemodo usa el fire extinguisher para nohay lingasa. 💙
