𝟐,𝟎𝟎𝟎+ 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖!🥰

Over 2,000 mangrove propagules successfully found their new home along the shores of Barangay Manicahan!

Through 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻-a flagship environmental initiative of the 𝗭𝗦𝗖𝗠𝗦𝗧 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣) - students, faculty, and student officers joined hands in a powerful movement for marine conservation and ecological sustainability.

This impactful event was organized 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻, under the dynamic leadership of 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗘𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼, as part of their joyous celebration of 𝑫𝒊𝒂 𝒅𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Together with the active support of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 and the warm, dedicated community of Manicahan, the true essence of 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏 was fully displayed. From bundling bamboo supports to wading through mud and planting each seedling, every hand contributed to safeguarding our coastal ecosystems for generations to come.

The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), through the National Service Training Program (NSTP), proudly stood as the official co-host alongside the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) for the Regional IVY 2026 Celebrations Forum.

Aimed at advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the online forum gathered leaders and representatives from local and national government agencies, civil society, academe, and grassroots volunteer groups to share insights and build collective action.

On behalf of the ZSCMST National Service Training Program (NSTP), we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the PNVSCA for inviting us to co-host and be a vital part of this meaningful regional initiative. We are truly honored to collaborate in fostering a stronger culture of volunteerism.

As we gear up to welcome a brand new school year, the 𝐙𝐒𝐂𝐌𝐒𝐓 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏) takes immense pride in looking back at the incredible milestones achieved by our recent Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) student-volunteers!

Before we open the next chapter of student leadership, let’s look back at how our creative and dedicated cohorts turned compassion into concrete action, both inside the walls of our campus and out in our partner communities. The wait is over! We are absolutely thrilled to announce the official turnover of three (3) brand-new, heavy-duty 10x20 NSTP canopies.
This is far more than just new gear, it’s a powerful testament to the collective heart and dedication of our entire student body. The procurement of these canopies was made possible exclusively through the cooperative visionary contributions of every single NSTP student for this Academic Year.

We are immensely proud to declare this a 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗬 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧-𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧. This achievement proves that when we pool our resources with a common purpose, we can make incredible things happen.

"Made by you, for the improvement of our service to the community" is now our reality. These canopies will elevate our future field activities, environmental drives, and community outreaches, ensuring we are ready to serve, rain or shine!
