The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) 4th Year students successfully concluded their Apprenticeship by Experience and Tour (APEXT), a meaningful and enriching activity that provided them with valuable opportunities to gain firsthand experience and deeper insights into the hospitality and tourism industry. Through this experiential learning activity, the students were able to enhance their knowledge, skills, and professional understanding while experiencing actual industry practices beyond the classroom.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our valued industry partners, MYX Ticketing and Travel and Tours, 2GO, MIHCA, and Century Park Hotel, for their invaluable support, assistance, and hospitality throughout the APEXT activity. Your commitment to providing meaningful industry exposure has greatly contributed to the learning and professional development of our students.
We would also like to express our special thanks and appreciation to the College President, Dr. Roy L. Valesco, for his continued support and encouragement in providing our students with opportunities that promote experiential learning, professional growth, and industry engagement. Your support has been instrumental in making this meaningful learning experience possible.
The successful conduct of APEXT would not have been possible without the collaboration, support, and dedication of everyone involved. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to learn, experience, and grow through this journey.
Congratulations to our BSHM 4th Year students on the successful completion of this significant milestone. May the knowledge, experiences, and memories gained through APEXT serve as valuable foundations as you continue your journey toward becoming competent, professional, and industry-ready hospitality practitioners.

CONGRATULATIONS, DR. MARLON DENNIS C. OCHOA!
From the College of Business and Management (CBM) Family
The faculty, staff, and students of the College of Business and Management extend their warmest congratulations to our Dean, Dr. Marlon Dennis C. Ochoa, on the official approval of his research project:"Project 5: Strengthening the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) in Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) under the RAISE Program Phase 2."
Funded by the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), this 24-month initiative has been granted an approved budget of PhP 2,493,656.00. The project is designed to strengthen the institution's systems for intellectual property protection, technology management, and commercialization.
The CBM community is proud of Dr. Ochoaโs commitment. Balancing the administrative responsibilities of serving as our College Dean while simultaneously spearheading significant, funded research projects is a commendable achievement. His dedication to both academic leadership and research serves as an exemplary model of service for our college.
It is our hope that this milestone will inspire more faculty members and researchers within the College of Business and Management to actively pursue research and development opportunities, further contributing to the growth of our institution and the community.
Congratulations once again, Dr. Ochoa, and to the entire project team! We wish you all the best in the successful implementation of this endeavor.
