This initiative is aligned with the Department of Education and MBHTE’s guidelines to help close learning gaps and reinforce essential skills in Reading and Mathematics.

Summer is the season for a fresh start! From May 6 to June 2, SDO Lanao del Sur-I is taking bold steps to bridge the learning gap. ☑️Identified Struggling Learners: Offering a supportive environment for learners who require specialized assistance to transform academic challenges into measurable success.

Celebrating Growth, Dedication, and Achievement!

On April 1, 2026, Pagalongan National High School Annex-A, under the leadership of the newly designated Principal, Ma’am Shunalyn Omaima A. Abantas, PhD (CAR), proudly commemorated its 11th Moving-Up Ceremony and Recognition Day. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed division official, ATTSDS Supervisor Ma’am Rasmia A. Mimbantas, representing the Lanao del Sur I Schools Division Superintendent, Bae Rubina Mimbantas Macabunar, PhD.

The event was also honored by the presence of a distinguished guest speaker, Rakima Talipon Maki, LPT, an accomplished alumna of the institution, whose inspiring words resonated deeply with students and attendees alike.

Furthermore, the school extended its warmest gratitude to Honorable Mayor Elvino Balicao Jr., represented by Municipal Administrator, Ma’am Neonita V. Bautista for their support and for gracing the event.

The active support and collaboration of Parents Teachers and Community Association, played a vital role in making this celebration meaningful and successful.

As the school celebrates this milestone, it reaffirms its commitment to holistic development and continuous growth under new leadership. The resilience and aspirations of the students serve as a source of inspiration, promising a future filled with hope and promise.

The PNHS Annex A, along with the active involvement of PTCA, looks forward to nurturing dreams, fostering excellence, inclusivity and and building a brighter tomorrow for all.

Official Turnover Ceremony

On April 1, 2026, Pagalongan National High School Annex- A held a meaningful turnover ceremony to mark the transition of leadership. The outgoing principal, Ma’am Noraica Sultan Lawansa, officially turned over her duties to the newly designated principal, Ma’am Shunalyn Omaima A. Abantas, PhD (CAR).

The event was attended by Division Officials, ATTSDS Supvr. Ma’am Rasmiah A. Mimbantas, PPSTA BARMM PRESIDENT and SGOD Chief, Dr. Sainodin T. Abantas, and Education Program Supervisor, Dr. Cairon A. Abantas along with the local government unit officials, Hon. Mayor Elvino Balicao Jr., represented by the Municipal Administrator, ma’am Neonita V. Bautista, Parents Teachers and Community Association led by their PTCA President, Sir Ronnil Doroteo and the learners of PNHS Annex-A.

During the turnover ceremony, the outgoing principal expressed her gratitude for the support she received and shared inspiring words for the incoming leadership. The new principal,then pledged her acceptance and commitment to continue the school’s mission of inclusive, quality education and holistic development. She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rubina Mimbantas Macabunar, for her trust and confidence.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic turnover of the school’s key and a toast to a successful new chapter. This event signifies the school’s commitment to progress under new leadership, inspiring hope and dedication among students, teachers, and the community.

Today, we gratefully acknowledge the turnover of the Metal Trash Bag Holder project from our dedicated PTCA Officers to the school. This initiative reflects the strong partnership between the school and our supportive parents in promoting cleanliness, responsibility, and a better learning environment for our students.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our very active PTCA President, Mr. Ronnil Doroteo, together with the PTCA officers, for their commitment and continuous support to the school community. Your efforts truly make a difference. Thank you for helping us build a cleaner and more caring school environment!

PNHS Annex A proudly kicked off the National Women’s Month Celebration through a meaningful 3-in-1 activity. Teachers, parents, and learners wore purple and proudly displayed a Women’s Month banner, symbolizing our strong support for women empowerment and gender equality. The event also featured the Parent–Teacher Conference and the 3rd Quarter Recognition of Honors.

The celebration was made even more special with the presence of our newly designated PNHS Annex A Caretaker, Ma’am Shunalyn Omaima Abantas,PhD-CAR as we honored the strength, leadership, and invaluable contributions of women in our school and community.

This gathering not only celebrated women empowerment, but also strengthened the partnership between parents and teachersand recognized the hard work and achievements of our learners.
