"An adjective modifies a noun or a pronoun by describing, identifying, or quantifying words. The form of an adjective is often changed to show the extent or degree to which a certain quality is present. In grammar, this degree in form to show a difference in degree is called comparison.

The following are the three degrees of comparison of adjectives:
✅ Positive Degree- shows that the quality is present, but it does not show a comparison with anything else.
✅ Comparative Degree- show that the quality expressed by the adjective exists to a greater or to a lesser degree in one of the two persons or things that are compared.
✅ Superlative Degree- indicates that the quality (expressed by the adjective) is possessed to the greatest or the least degree by one of the persons or things included in the comparison.

Language experience is a practice where the six parts of language learning namely; vocabulary, speaking, listening, grammar, reading, and writing are mutually supportive of each other.

🧠Vocabulary- use audiobooks, flashcards, dictionaries, and computers and television. Go and learn more words and deposit them into your memories.
🗣️ Speaking- talk to people. It's a good way to practice the way you converse.
🦻 Listening- practice becoming an active listener too. You will learn a lot from listening attentively to how other people talk.
🤔 Grammar- learn grammar rules from textbooks or videos uploaded on the internet. There are lots of them.
📖 Reading- for beginners, audiobooks can help in learning to read. Use textbooks that contain passages for you to practice.
✍️ Writing- write down what you have in mind. Use the vocabulary words you learned to construct your sentences.

Develop yourself with the language parts mentioned above. Learning without practice is useless and continued learning results in a gigantic experience.

Sometimes learning English is perceived as a difficult task to do for some reason for non-native speakers.

"A base word can stand alone and has meaning (for example, help). A suffix is a word part added to the end of a word (for example, -ful).

If you add the suffix -ful to the base word, help, the word is helpful.

A prefix is a word part added to the beginning of a word or base word (for example, un-). If the prefix un- is added to helpful, the word is unhelpful. (ies.ed.gov)

An empty mind is likened to John Locke's tabula rasa which is often translated as "clean slate"⬜. It was discussed on Wikipedia that:

'In Locke's philosophy, tabula rasa was the theory that at birth the (human) mind is a "blank slate" without rules for processing data, and that data is added and rules for processing are formed solely by one's sensory experiences.'

Learning is the heart ❤️of education📚. We don't know such things right away until such time we learned about them. Tabula rasa, in relation to education, the experiences we encounter using our senses will add to our learning or knowledge. 💡 Our minds will open if they would be slowly filled up with information📖.

Thus, an empty mind🧠 will be replaced with an open one if we opt to pour in learning or when chose to be educated.

❓ Is English a necessity? It is a sort of question that leads us to know if learning English is necessary or not.

If your answer is yes✅, what could be your main reasons for agreeing. If you answered no ❌ what were your reasons too.

ETS Global discussed few reasons why one needs to learn or keep learning English. These reasons include:
👉English is the Language of International Communication
👉English gives access to more entertainment and more access to the Internet
👉English makes it easier to travel
👉English can make you ‘smarter’

And there are many other reasons why it is necessary to learn English. The Internet 💻has a great bank of information to provide us.

🌈 Colors give beauty to our environment. We use colors to describe the things we see.👀 All the things we see around have different colors.🏝️🏖️🏡🏕️🎇🌄🌅

Today, we will learn some color vocabulary adjectives that were made by adding the base word (name of the color) + 'ish' (suffix).
By combining them, we can be able to come up with new adjectives. With the new word, its meaning also changed.

We will also learn some rules in adding suffixes in the new words we are going to study.

🤔 Take a look at the words below.👇 Have you heard or read them before?
🔵 bluish ⚪ whitish 🟣 purplish 🔴 reddish ⚫ blackish 🟤 brownish 🟢 greenish 🟡 yellowish 🔘 grayish

All these colors mean 'somewhat (more or less), having a tinge of or kind of'.

Like when we say bluish, this means somewhat blue or having a tinge of blue.

😨 Fearing to learn even before even trying is detrimental to growth.

Developing a passion ❤️ for learning is attained when we learn to combat our fear or hesitation.

🤔If you hesitate on learning or you're injecting you can't learn, do you think you would add your knowledge on things?

The answer is clear. Certainly no! 🙅🙅‍♂️

The step to learning is embracing it and loving it. You have to act on it. Simple ways are:
✅ Learn to listen and listen to learn
✅ Learn to read and read to learn
✅ Learn to speak and speak to learn
✅ Learn to write and write to learn

Those learning ways mentioned above seem to be simple. But getting to the heart of it, the measure is you do those ways passionately.

Continue learning. Don't stop! Learning is our key to gaining more knowledge.

📚The more we learn, the more we know. The more we know, the more we grow.😊

👉This quote from Jane Revel and Susan Norman says, "If you find yourself saying 'But I can't speak English...', try adding the word '...yet'.

It's a piece of good advice for everyone who tries to learn English but upon starting already feels surrendering.😞

The 'yet' mentioned in the quote reminds you can learn English if you try. Just have the patience, determination, and goal to help yourself to learn it.💪

🤓Remember, there's no learning without even trying. Be courageous enough that with constant practice, you will improve your knowledge of the English language.

Don't despair☹️ if you will be hard up in the first parts of your learning journey. There's nothing such as instant perfection from the very beginning. Strive hard because you wanted to learn.
