Our school, conducted a two-day In-Service Training for teachers with the theme "Upskiling Teachers’ Competence in the Development of Indigenized Instructional Materials:". Focusing on Crafting an ILAW-Based Framework Lesson Plan.

During the training, teachers identified various Indigenous Knowledge, Skills and Practices (IKSPs) in Villaviciosa that can be integrated in classroom instruction. They collaboratively explored how these local practices reflect the values and culture of the community.

Each teacher crafted his or her own ILAW-based lesson plan integrating IKSPs, making lessons more contextualized, relevant, and culturally responsive. Through this activity, teachers gained deeper understanding on how to indigenize lessons while maintaining alignment with learning competencies.

The training enriched teachers with knowledge on valuing local culture in teaching, strengthened collaboration among grade levels, and equipped them with skills to create meaningful and rooted learning experiences for learners.

In conclusion, the two-day INSET successfully empowered teachers to become more creative and culturally responsive educators.

𝟑𝐑𝐃 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐖𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋

Today, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 , our school participated in the 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙬𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡 (𝙉𝙎𝙀𝘿).

The activity was conducted by teachers during their In-Service Training to strengthen disaster preparedness and ensure readiness even without learners on campus.

At 2:00 PM, the earthquake signal was given. All teachers performed " 𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐊 , 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑, and 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 " inside their training room. They immediately ducked under tables, covered their heads with their arms, and held on until the shaking stopped.

After the signal, teachers evacuated in an orderly manner to the designated assembly area. They practiced proper evacuation routes, maintained silence, and followed the headcount procedure.

The 3rd Quarter Simultaneous Earthquake Drill was successfully and meaningfully conducted with 100% participation of all teachers and staff.

𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟

This morning, our school conducted a Safety Drill as part of our commitment to ensure the safety and preparedness of every learner and school personnel.

For the whole school community, regular safety drills build a culture of preparedness. Accidents and disasters don’t announce themselves. But when we practice, we turn fear into readiness, and chaos into coordinated action. It reminds us that 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Emergencies do not have a schedule.
While we hope that such an incident never occurs, preparation ensures that we are ready. Preparedness today prevents tragedy tomorrow.

Regular drills keep our knowledge and skills fresh. The more we practice, the faster and calmer we respond. Regular conduct of safety drills ensures that preparedness becomes second nature — and in times of crisis, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

The Provincial Government of Abra suspends onsite face-to-face classes in all public and private schools at all levels on August 24, 2026, in the interest of the safety and well-being of learners, teachers, and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement appropriate Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) in accordance with DepEd guidelines to ensure the continuity of learning.

In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 131 and upon the recommendation of National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆) due to the continued heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced Southwest Moonsoon.

Schools are advised to implement alternative modes of learning during the suspension.

𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲) is also a special non-working holiday in observance of

The Office of the President through 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙢 𝘾𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙉𝙤. 129 has directed the implementation of alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools tomorrow, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, in areas affected by the Southwest Monsoon and continuous heavy rainfall.

Due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Hbagat) bringing heavy rains and possible flooding ,the Provincial Government of Abra has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School on 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (Monday).

This is to ensure the safety and welfare of our learners, teachers, and school personnel.

Everyone is advised to stay indoors, monitor weather updates, and stay safe.

This suspension is effective due to inclement weather conditions brought by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
