NEWS: MINTER youth journalists join KAISAKA Youth Camp Year 6, amplify youth voice, civic engagement

Members of The Intelligencer’s The Minter, the official student publication of Northeastern College (NC), joined the KAISAKA Youth Camp Year 6, organized by the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of the City of Santiago, strengthening their commitment to youth leadership, collaboration, and meaningful civic participation, held at Wilmers Resort, Sinsayon Santiago City, August 15-16.

Representing The Minter, Raymond Iglesia, Angelo Baloran, Andrea Limos, Cassandra Supremido and Tristan Pelayo actively engaged in the camp's activities, bringing with them the publication's commitment to responsible journalism and its role in amplifying issues and perspectives relevant to the youth and the wider community.

The KAISAKA Youth Camp served as an avenue for young participants to connect with fellow youth leaders, exchange ideas, develop leadership skills, and strengthen their sense of responsibility as active members of society.

The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through experiential learning and youth development; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by promoting inclusive youth participation; and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, through the development of informed, responsible, and actively engaged young citizens. #
