…… Executive Staff Ms. Jamaica Roa presented letters of request to provide presence and visibility during school days to Villasis Philippine National Police (PNP) and San Blas Barangay Captain thru the Brgy. Secretary on behalf of the School Director Mr. Vladimir Mohammad Meriales and the rest of the Feliz Heads. Partnership with the following institutions officials is now a critical necessity for schools to combat an alarming surge in campus-related violence, highlighted by recent tragic school shootings in Tacloban City and Zamboanga City
Feliz believes that a tri-party partnership between schools, the PNP, and the barangay provides a comprehensive solution to this crisis for several vital reasons:
1. Stopping Weapons at the Gates
2. Implementation of Active-Threat Protocols
3. Intelligence Sharing and Identifying Warning Signs
4. Deterrence and Managing "Copycat" Threats
5. A Holistic "Whole-of-Community" Support System
As emphasized by DepEd and the DILG, physical infrastructure like CCTVs and fences are useless without a strong social safety net. This partnership connects school guidance counselors , teachers , parents with community-based mental health support and local social welfare officers to address the root causes of youth aggression.

Every August 21, the Philippines observes Ninoy Aquino Day to honor the life and sacrifice of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. Aquino was a strong critic of the Marcos dictatorship and spent years in prison and in exile because of his opposition to martial law.

On August 21, 1983, Aquino returned to the Philippines but was assassinated shortly after arriving at the Manila International Airport, now Ninoy Aquino International Airport. His death sparked widespread public outrage and became one of the events that contributed to the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.

Republic Act No. 9256, signed in 2004, officially declared August 21 as Ninoy Aquino Day, a national special non-working holiday. The holiday reminds Filipinos—especially the youth, of the importance of understanding Philippine history and its impact on the country today.
