🌟 YOUTH IN ACTION: LEADING WITH PASSION AND PURPOSE! 🌟

Under the theme "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations," the Municipality of Villasis celebrated Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 from August 14 to 18. Representing the Palminian community with immense pride, Supreme Student Council leaders SSC President Cassandra Soriano and SSC Vice President Jan Lia Sua stepped up to experience public service firsthand.

Here is a look back at their transformative leadership journey:

🗳️ Day 1 | Election of Junior Municipal Officers
Demonstrating true civic heart, our leaders earned top responsibilities among their peers. Jan Lia was elected as Junior Municipal Mayor, while Cassandra was elected as Junior Municipal Councilor.

🏛️ Day 2 | Oath-Taking & LGU Immersion

Braving the heavy rain, our Junior Officers took their oath and immersed themselves in local governance:

Casy observed budget hearings in the Legislative Department.

Iya reviewed local ordinances to see how community laws are crafted and enforced.

👥 Day 3 | NYC Youth Leadership Seminar

The experience concluded with an energizing session hosted alongside the National Youth Commission (NYC), where school leaders across Villasis connected through team-building games, shared insights, and strengthened their collective vision.

This three-day journey tested and expanded our student leaders' horizons far beyond the school gates. Seeing Casy and Iya step into these civic roles fills the entire Palminian community with deep gratitude and immense pride.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the local leaders who opened their doors and invested in our youth: Municipal Mayor Hon. Dita G. Abrenica, the Sangguniang Bayan led by Hon. Cheryll Z. Tan, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Mr. Braulio G. Yaranon, Local Youth Development Officer Engr. Ronnie V. Cacapit, Youth Development Officer I Alyssa Karen Mina, and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Villasis headed by SK Federation President Ma. Aurora Grace Soriano.

Equipped, Empowered, and Ready to Save Lives! 🩹❤️‍🩹

Accidents are unexpected; the best way to arm ourselves is with knowledge! 📚 Last August 12, 2026, Palm Springs Montessori Integrated School successfully conducted a School-Based First Aid and Basic Life Support Training in partnership with TOP Training and Education Center, Inc., pursuant to R.A. 10871. 🚑✨

The event was filled with exciting, hands-on activities that highlighted our Palminians' eagerness to learn. Guided by Lecturer Anthony Eric V. Mostoles, R.N., along with his fellow instructors, students and teachers mastered essential life-saving procedures, including CPR, bandaging, and wound care. ⛑️

As a valuable addition to the session, Nurse Mostoles also discussed the dangers of drugs 💊, drawing from his background to remind students to stay away from vices and keep focused on their studies.

Knowledge is power, but knowing how to save a life is priceless. Palm Springs Montessori Integrated School is forever grateful to TOP Training and Education Center, Inc., our dedicated trainers, and our active participants for prioritizing safety and making our school community a safer place. PLAY 'STAYIN ALIVE' BY BEE GEES! 😉🎧

In collaboration with TOP Training and Educational Center Inc., Palm Springs Montessori Integrated School Inc. conducted a school-based Basic Life Support (BLS) and First-Aid Training pursuant to the Basic Life Support Training in Schools Act or RA 10871 on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Throughout the day, PSM's high school students were given information about first aid, as well as demonstrated important procedures, such as CPR and bandaging. Through this program, students are given the opportunity to be well-equipped to be able to deal with health-related situations whenever in the absence of a health professional. 🩺

Thank you to TOP Training and Educational Center Inc. for implementing this school activity! Surely, all Palminians will carry what they learnt in their hearts and minds. ❤️‍🩹🌴
