๐ˆ๐ง ๐๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ: Fourth-year education students officially began their pre-internship journey with the opening of the seminar-workshop series, an initiative designed to prepare practice-teachers for the real classroom setting.

The first session featured three essential topics: Classroom Management by Dr. Kareen G. Cruz, which highlighted strategies for fostering order and meaningful learning in the classroom; and The Art of Questioning along with The Development of Instructional Materials by Sir Judemil S. Comprado, where he not only emphasized effective questioning techniques and creative resource design but also provided actual LET questions, serving as an invaluable guide for students preparing for the board exam.

These sessions offered both practical skills and deeper insights, equipping aspiring teachers as they transition from being students to becoming future educators.

๐‘๐„๐Œ๐ˆ๐๐ƒ๐„๐‘: ๐—ฆ๐—–๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—˜๐—ก๐—œ๐—ก๐—š ๐—ง๐—ข๐— ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—ฅ๐—ข๐—ช!

The screening for aspiring student journalists will be held tomorrow, August 20, 2025, at the CTAS Building โ€“ Ground Floor. The session will start at 1:00 PM, with registration beginning at 12:50 PM, so we encourage everyone to come early.

Applicants are reminded to bring their application forms if they have not yet submitted them. For those who have not secured a form but still wish to join, you may proceed directly to the screening areaโ€”we will still accommodate you.

The screening process will include a Grammar Test, Practical Test, and Interview.

Please bring the following: pen, mobile gadget, sketch pad (for artists), camera (optional), and laptop/headset (optional depending on your role).

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming the next batch of campus journalists!

๐„๐€๐‘๐‹๐ˆ๐„๐‘: The MindSprout Publication staff, together with their adviser, paid a courtesy call to University Chancellor Reynaldo Mollejon at his office.

During the meeting, the team had the opportunity to share the publicationโ€™s plans, raise concerns, and discuss how MindSprout can further contribute to student life and the university community. The Chancellor also gave his insights and guidance, which will help strengthen the organizationโ€™s role as the official student publication of VSU Villaba.

This first-ever courtesy call marks a meaningful step for MindSprout as it fosters collaboration between the publication and the administration in pursuit of a more engaged and empowered student body.

๐ˆ๐ง ๐๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ: Students of Visayas State University Villaba showcased their talents in the first-ever Welcome Night, organized by the University Supreme Student Council on August 15, 2025, to celebrate the start of the academic year and warmly welcome new Villaba Viscans.

The event carried the theme โ€œPagpasundayag sa Talento: Halad-Pasalamat ug Mainitong Pagdawat sa mga Bag-ong Iskolar sa VSU Villabaโ€ and featured a denim freestyle attire.

Visayas State University Villaba (VSUV) welcomed students on August 13, 2025, at the VSUV Gymnasium through its annual Student Onboarding. The program introduced the universityโ€™s instructors, faculty, and staff, and oriented students on key policies, processes, and services, including financial aid, data privacy, gender equality, health and safety, library use, and the VSU Brand Book.

The event also introduced the Mindsprout Student Publication, along with the newly elected officers of the University Supreme Student Council (USSC), the Faculty of Teacher Education SSC (FTE-SSC), and the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Science SSC (FAFS-SSC).

An open forum wrapped up the program, giving students a chance to share ideas and address concerns with university leaders.
