📣 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

The University Student Election Board (USEB), by the authority of the Student Regent and incumbent SSCF Chairperson Hon. Ryan C. Ilaida, proudly announces the official results of the Supreme Student Council Federation (SSCF) Elections held on July 29, 2025, at the Break Room, RDE Hall, Visayas State University – Main Campus.

We are pleased to present the newly elected SSCF Officers for Academic Year 2025–2026:

🔹Chairperson / Student Regent: Sanny Jr. M. Dumpa – VSU Baybay

We extend our warmest congratulations to Hon. Sanny for being elected as SSCF Chairperson. As mandated, the elected Chairperson shall also serve as the Student Regent—the official representative of the entire VSU student body to the Board of Regents, the highest policy-making body of the university.

🔹 Vice Chairperson: Laurence Dave D. Tampos – VSU Tolosa

🔹 Secretary: Ma. DJ Mae B. Languido – VSU Villaba

🔹 Treasurer: Carl Jhon O. Abala – VSU Alangalang

Whereas, the Vice-President of the USSC President elected as Student Regent shall automatically assume the role of SSCF Public Information Officer.

University student elections are happening TOMORROW, May 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Student Center! Checking of attendance will be done at the front of Student Center. After you cast your vote, don't forget to sign for log out.

📌 Reminder:
Article XV, Section 2 of the Student Election Board Code states that;
“If the total number of voting populace is less than 75% of the total population, a fine of fifty pesos (₱50) shall be imposed on those who are absent during the electoral exercise.”

Your vote shapes the direction of student leadership and campus policies. Participating empowers your voice and helps ensure fair representation—don’t miss your chance to make a difference!

PUBLIC MESSAGE FROM THE VSU VILLABA STUDENT ELECTION BOARD

We, the VSU Villaba Student Election Board, would like to take this opportunity to address a matter that has recently come to our attention and is now circulating within our campus and online spaces.

A formal complaint was submitted to our office regarding the alleged unauthorized use of campaign materials—specifically templates and hashtags—originally created by another institution’s student government. These materials were reportedly used by one of our official aspiring candidates for the upcoming 2025 USSC and CSSC Elections without permission.

Let us be clear: campaign integrity is not just about slogans and posters—it’s about values, ethics, and responsibility. As aspiring student leaders, you carry the image and voice of the entire student body. Every action you take, every word you post, reflects not just on your campaign, but on your character and commitment to leadership.

This incident, while under ongoing review, is a serious reminder that in today’s world, social media is a powerful tool—but also a platform of accountability. It can amplify your vision, but it can also magnify your mistakes. What you share online reaches a broad audience: fellow students, faculty, alumni, and even institutions beyond our own. One act of carelessness or dishonesty can tarnish not only your personal name, but the credibility of the election and the reputation of our university.

To all our official and aspiring candidates: we urge you to exercise caution, respect, and originality in your campaign materials. Be mindful of intellectual property. Always ask permission when using materials that are not your own. Uphold the values of respect, honesty, and leadership that you wish to represent.

Re: Alleged Misuse of Materials by an Aspiring Candidate

The VSU Villaba Student Election Board (SEB) has received a formal complaint through our official page Messenger regarding an alleged incident involving one of our official aspiring candidates for the College Student Supreme Council (CSSC) Elections.

The concern pertains to the reported use of templates, hashtags, and other campaign materials originally created by another academic institution and its affiliated student government, without proper attribution or authorization.

The SEB takes all complaints seriously, especially those that may involve issues of academic integrity, intellectual property, and fair election conduct. We are currently reviewing the matter to determine the facts and any possible violations of our election guidelines.

We ask the public and all student stakeholders to refrain from drawing premature conclusions while the investigation is ongoing. Rest assured that the SEB remains committed to upholding fairness, transparency, and due process throughout the election period.

Further updates will be provided as necessary. We thank the community for its vigilance and continued support of a fair and honest student electoral process.
