Learning. Leadership. Impact.

Last June 10-11, 2026, Project EVE had the honor of being invited as resource speakers and facilitators for a Peer Tutor Training in Bacolod City, organized by Quidan Kaisahan.

Together with passionate elementary and high school students coming from Pontevedra and Victorias, we explored practicing empathy in learning, leading as peer tutors, effective tutoring techniques, and making learning engaging. These sessions aimed to prepare their journey as peer tutors ready to support fellow learners in their schools and in their own communities.

Learning Together. Para sa bata. Para sa bayan.
Ready na? Ready na!

Project EVE Volunteer represents Victoriasanon Youth in IYCLC 2024!

Phoebe, our Core Volunteer for Programs & Partnerships and LYDC representative joined this year’s International Youth Congress and Leadership Camp with the theme “iLEAD: Synergizing and Advancing Youth Action for SDGs” last April 19-21, 2024 at Balay Cadiznon, PNU Visayas Compound, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

The three-day and two-night camp aims to mobilize the leadership potential and skills of youth participants across various sectors, organizations, and institutions, enabling them to productively contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Read more about her learning experience below:
---
"I was particularly interested in the camp topics, especially Data-Driven Leadership for Sustainable Youth Initiatives, Youth Project Development Models, and Youth-led Projects in Bridging the Educational Divide. These sessions greatly contributed to my personal and professional growth.

I learned the importance of sustainability in strategic project planning and the significance of using quantitative data to engage key stakeholders and partners. Additionally, I gained insights from how the speaker leveraged lessons from past project shortcomings to enhance his future projects. Furthermore, I understood the crucial role of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in preparing children for cognitive learning, as fostering social and emotional connections helps make students more receptive to academic subjects in school.

However, what struck me most is how there are many student and community leaders out there ready and willing to go the extra mile for their advocacies. This makes me happy knowing that as young as junior high school students are aware that they can make a difference by being given a platform to help the community they are in.

As a member of a volunteer organization, it was a valuable opportunity to listen and learn from international speakers, sectoral organizations, and student leaders. Their experiences in their respective projects and causes are eye-openers, reaffirming that even our small contributions are making a difference."

Ready to Rock? Ready to Roll!
🤘🤘🤘

Last Saturday, Project EVE ran its third COLAB learning session titled: “Maparaan Ako!”

The session focused on the Three Phases of Design Thinking: Immersion, Ideation, and Prototyping, or as we taught our young learners: Alamin, Isipin, at Subukin! Here, they learned how to be resourceful as they explored three phases of Design Thinking for creative problem-solving. Our Barangay III learners drew, danced, and challenged their creative and critical thinking as they approached the challenges of the day's learning session.

And as we always do in COLAB, we ended the day full of booming energy!

We are excited for our last session and Culminating Activity this coming Saturday.
Ikaw, excited ka na rin ba? 😉

Project EVE is always grateful for the support of Barangay III Sangguniang Kabataan Council in shaping the children and their future as they took a proactive part in the rollouts of each COLAB session. We always have a great time working with and for the children. Mabuhay ang Kabataan!

Ready na, ready na? Aha! Aha!
🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️

With the perfect blend of learning and commitment to its communities, Project EVE, with the support of Brgy. III Sangguniang Kabataan Council successfully conducted COLAB on its second sitting last Saturday in Barangay III, Victorias City.

The children of the barangay were fueled with so much life learnings as COLAB Session 2 introduced "Empathy". The session taught children how to build connections, understand emotions, and promote helping behaviors. They have learned to see life in different point of views through fun roleplays and teamwork games. Indeed, it was a Saturday Funday!

🔴🔵🟡🟢
We are excited for the next roll-out of COLAB this coming Saturday, August 19! Will you be there? Show your love for the children and be part of this exposure!
