"Therefore, as we leave this place, I invite you to embrace uncertainty. That might not be too difficult today when you're young, but years from now, when you become leaders in your own fields and earn more confidence in your abilities and beliefs, I hope you maintain a healthy level of uncertainty.

Uncertainty of outcome, which reminds us of the possibility of change, no matter how bad the situation, and the necessity to act to bring about the change we want to see. And uncertainty of the right, which allows us to talk to each other when we disagree and reminds us to treat each other with grace when we fight. A life of uncertainty is a difficult one, but I believe and I hope that it's a better one."
