Vallehermoso, with a population of 40,000 is a fourth class municipality in the northernmost part of Negros Oriental, a province in the central islands of the Philippines. Its name befits the rustic beauty and serenity which characterizes this “beautiful valley.”

Perseverance – the Foundation will pursue its goals even in the face of trials and challenges and will then set an example and encourage its constituents to also persevere in pursuing their dreams for themselves and the town. Self-worth – By empowering its constituents through education, the VHHF hopes to help them restore their voice and confidence, which political and religious systems have deprived them of since Spanish times. Service – The VHHF is committed to uplift the lives of the townspeople through education, cultural exposure and historical awareness with the expectation that they too will give back to the community.

My dear friends,

I know that we are all hurting. Some of us more than others. Lahat tayo ay malungkot. Mahirap maintindihan ang mga pangyayari.

But hindi tayo pinababayaan ng Diyos. And it is when we feel we are broken, na parang wala na tayong mabibigay dahil sa paulit-ulit na pagkabigo at yung parang bugbug na bugbug na ang ating puso; ito ang mga panahon na pumapasok nang lubos ang grasya ng Diyos.
" My grace is sufficient unto you", The Lord told St. Paul noong humihingi si Paul na mawala ang tinik sa kanyang katawan. And Paul then realised that it is in his weakness that he is strongest. Because it is in our weakest time that we have to rely solely on God to be our strength.

Today babalik ako sa trabaho sa ospital. Nandoon pa din ang sakit sa dibdib, pero matagal ko na rin natutunan na ang pagtulong at pagkalinga sa kapwa ang isa sa pinakamagaling na paraan para masugpo ang kalungkutan. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang plano ng Diyos para sa akin. But I trust it is best and will glorify Him.

we had a christmas event in our farm in barangay bagawines, vallehermoso. this girl was asked to song and i was so surprised that she sang a song by coritha, my classmate from assumption hs class 69. i did not know whether to cry remembering her as she passed away last month or be happy that her song has immortalized her memory as a folk singer., her song “oras na” was composed by her during martial law times, the lyrics calling filipinos to address the injustices and wrongs in society. rest in peace dear coritha, your songs and memory willlive on forever
