📣📣Don Vicente Lopez Sr. Memorial Elementary School (DVLSMES), in partnership with the Barangay Bagawines Council and the Bureau of Fire Protection–Vallehermoso, successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, June 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM.📣

School personnel, learners, parents, barangay officials, and workers actively participated in the activity, which aimed to enhance earthquake preparedness and strengthen emergency response capabilities.

During the drill, participants practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and carried out an orderly evacuation to designated safe areas. Emergency response protocols, coordination mechanisms, and safety procedures were likewise emphasized throughout the exercise.

Through activities like this, DVLSMES continues to promote a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience within the school and community.

To strengthen the partnership between teachers and parents, and to keep parents informed about the latest DepEd guidelines and the current status of the school, DVLSMES successfully conducted its Parents' General Orientation and State of the School Address (SOSA) on June 11, 2026.

The activity provided an opportunity for parents and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the school's programs, accomplishments, and future directions, while fostering stronger collaboration in support of learners' success.
