The atmosphere at St. Paul Christian School was thick with warmth this Friday, March 13. Here, Women’s Month is more than a date on the calendar; 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒆—𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒗𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘.

Led by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), students gathered around a wide wooden board with pots of lavender and bubblegum pink. With gentle precision, paint was dabbed onto palms and pressed firmly into wood. As the students later washed the pigment from their skin, the gesture felt symbolic: a quiet shedding of the burdens and pains carried by the women who came before them.

As female students leaned in, their hair tangling like vines, their laughter bubbled up through the celebratory balloons. Together, they traced a collective vow beneath a sea of handprints: “𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔, 𝒘𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝒖𝒑 𝒃𝒚 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒔 𝒖𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅.”

This month belongs to them—the women who keep their smiles as bright as the midday sun and their strength as deep as the roots of the earth.

At siyempre, hindi kumpleto ang kwento ni Miss kung wala ang kaniyang signature na 𝘙𝘌𝘋 𝘓𝘐𝘗𝘚𝘛𝘐𝘊𝘒—parang simbolo na kahit gaano ka-busy, ka-stress, o ka-ingay ang mga kaganapan sa Epistola, ready pa rin sha to serve. 💄
