Mayor WES Gatchalian declares AUGUST 5, 2024 (Monday) as the official start of classes for all public elementary and high schools in Valenzuela City based on the recommendation of the Division of City Schools - Valenzuela.

It will give our school administrators time to clean up and prepare the classrooms and school facilities, which are currently being used as evacuation centers due to super typhoon .

Some schools will really have to postpone their openings kasi maraming aayusin at lilinisin. Pero yung wala o minimal ang damages itutuloy pa rin ang pasukan. I’ll be issuing a list tomorrow kung saan postponed ang pasukan and the regional directors will also work with the principals to assess readiness for school opening. Hindi namin pipilitin yung mga nasalanta talaga at mahihirapan sa school opening ng Lunes.

Despite a slow start for the NCR Metro Stars, the National Capital Region still reigned supreme in this year’s Palarong Pambansa 2024.

NCR Metro Stars' journey to their 17th consecutive championship was not easy. Metro Stars maintained its winning streak despite having limited practice time due to the teachers' one-month uninterrupted break, the distance to the venue, incurred injuries, scheduling conflicts, and other factors.

This will not be possible without the proactive leadership provided by our regional director, Jocelyn DR Andaya, whose goal is to bring home the crown as one NCR. The ever-supportive Assistant Regional Director who always ensures that the needs of the delegates are met. The 16 Schools Division Superintendents, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, Division Sports Officers, Technical Working Group, Coaches, Parents, Chaperones, and the stars of this Palaro; the student-athletes.

HISTORY: On June 1, 1994, after the dissolution of the CAMANAVA Division, the Division of Valenzuela–Malabon–Navotas (VALMANA) was established. This organizational structure remained in place until mid-2001, when the new Division of City Schools–Valenzuela was formed.
