我們有幾多顆牙？您有想過嗎？答案需要考慮幾個要素，最重要的是年齡，因為兒童及成人的牙齒數量不同。那麼，兒童有幾顆牙呢？
乳牙

兒童在約 6 個月大時開始長牙。早期牙齒的學名是乳牙（deciduous teeth）。"Deciduous" 指落葉，比喻終究會脫落的乳牙。

兒童一共有 20 顆乳牙，上下排各 10 顆。這些牙齒為將來的恆齒預留位置。雖然乳牙終究會脫落，但 您應該把乳牙當成恆齒一樣用心保護。在孩子開始長牙時，您便應開始為孩子培養健康的飲食及刷牙習慣。兒童在 6 歲左右便會開始掉牙，恆齒會代替脫落的乳牙。換牙的過程會一直持續到10幾歲。

恆齒

成人的牙齒比小孩多，多數成人都有 32 顆牙。當中包括 8 顆門齒、4 顆犬齒、8 顆小臼齒及 12 顆大臼齒（包括 4 顆智齒）。多數人會在青少年時期長齊所有恆齒。口腔內通常沒有足夠位置讓智齒生長，智齒長出後可能會擠壓造成其他牙齒移位，因此成人普遍都會選擇拔掉。

那麼，我們有幾顆牙？一般而言，兒童有 20 顆牙，而成人則有 32 顆（拔除智齒後便是 28 顆）。每一顆牙齒都需要用心照顧。

“TOEIC” stands for the Test of English for International Communication. The TOEIC test is an English language proficiency test for people whose native language is not English.
