Lesson 48 | HIV Awareness with LoveYourself PH| Class Dismissed PH

Ever heard of the myth tungkol sa HIV infected catsup sa malls or sa mga nagiinject ng dugo habang nanunuod ka sa sinehan?

The stigma and silence surrounding HIV are better approached with decency, open communication, and acceptance.

In this episode, Paul, Marlon, and Mark are joined by Danvic Rosadiño, director for operations of Love Yourself Ph. They will talk about how they first learned HIV, how to prevent HIV/AIDS transmission, dispel myths and spread awareness to make communities more supportive of people living with HIV.

Remember, pwedeng ma-late, pero bawal ang absent. See you in class!

Econcepts: The Economy under the Marcos Era 22/09/2021

Perhaps, one of the most famous myths of the Marcos golden era is the $1/P2 exchange rate which, in truth, was recorded during the 1950s– years before Marcos stepped in. In fact, the peso would be devalued from P3.9/$1 in 1965 to P20.53/$1 in 1986, at the end of the Marcos regime due to country’s debt crisis.

- YFPH’s Campaign Line for 2018

"Bayanihan" is rooted from a historical practice in the Philippines of moving a traditional house from one place to another. It comes from the word, “bayan” meaning community, because this is a communal effort among villagers to literally carry a house to a new place in unison.

Although Bayanihan is no longer practiced due to modernization and shift in environmental conditions, the Bayanihan spirit is still alive among many Filipinos. Filipinos continue to lend a helping hand in times of conflict, calamity and difficulty in the lives of our neighbors.

This year, having Bayanihan at the core of our culture and identity, we are putting this value at the center of our mission to advance the Global Goals across the country. This year, we will strive to achieve a Filipino community walking towards a new place in unison, carrying the future of our nation above our shoulders, in a communal effort, to end extreme poverty, inequality, and climate change by 2030.

This show of unity and compassion, as a community, is an important element in effecting positive change and ensuring that we in this noble cause. As long as we have each other’s backs and we have our eyes set on the goal, achieving the Global Goals is nothing short of possible.

Thus, we invite you to join us as we accept this challenge together and as we continue to make strides this year through impactful campaigns and innovative solutions that take us a step closer towards achieving a more sustainable future for all.

Tara na at sumama sa makabagong Bayanihan! Go na Go Para sa Global Goals!
