Sa bawat luhang pumatak at pawis na dumanak, doon sumisibol ang bansang busilak; sa bawat bisig na tapat at pusong payapa, doon nagniningning ang ating dakilang pakikibaka.

Ngayong Abril 9, ang Araw ng Kagitingan, ang bawat hibla ng pagpupunyagi ng ating mga bayani mula sa kalsada hanggang sa ibayong dagat ay nagsisilbing tunay na kuta ng ating kalayaan. Ang giting ng ating lahi ay hindi na lamang ukit sa monumento dahil ito ay nananahan sa bawat patak ng pawis at sakripisyo ng ating mga dakilang bisig ng bayan na itinataguyod ang dangal ng Pilipino sa bawat sulok ng mundo. Tayo ang naglalakad na hininga ng ating bayan; hindi lamang tagapag-ingat ng kahapon, kundi mga manlililok ng ating kinabukasan.

Ang kasaysayan ay ukit sa bato, ngunit ang tunay na kalayaan ay tibay ng pusong Pilipino.
