Did you know that under Republic Act No. 11285 (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act), the government is already promoting mandatory skills training and certification for technicians handling energy-related systems?

LEGAL BASIS:

Under the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of RA 11285, it is clearly provided that:

“TESDA shall implement skills training, assessment, and certification programs for mechanics, technicians, installers, and operators of energy-efficient systems.” (issuances-library.senate.gov.ph)
This means that technicians working on systems like mobile airconditioning (MAC)—which directly affect energy efficiency—are expected to be properly trained and certified.
In line with this law, businesses in the Land-Based Transport /

Mobile Airconditioning Industry are strongly encouraged to ensure that their technicians are TESDA-certified (MAC Servicing NC II) to guarantee:
