Congratulations Dean Raymond Macatangga for being featured this month of April in the Council of Deans and Program Heads for Information Technology Education (CODITE) NCR!
This April, we proudly highlight Dr. Raymond S. Macatangga, esteemed Member of the Board of Trustees. His leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence continue to inspire innovation and collaboration within the CODITE community. Join us as we recognize his contributions and celebrate his impact this month!
Dr. Raymond S. Macatangga is currently the Dean of the College of Computer Studies and holds the rank of Professor IV at Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU). He also serves as the Department Chair of the OLFU Graduate School's Department of Computer Science and Technology.
He completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Master of Science in Computer Science (Magna Cum Laude), and Master of Arts in Computer Education (Summa Cum Laude) at AMA University, Quezon City campus. Additionally, he earned his Doctor of Information Technology and Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Applied Computer Science.
In 2017, Dr. Macatangga was recognized as one of the 1,000 Microsoft Education Ambassadors in the Philippines. He has passed various IT certification exams from Microsoft, Certiport, EC-Council, Adobe, and CISCO, among others. He furthered his education through Harvard University Online, completing courses in Data Privacy and Technology, Data Science Principles, and Open Innovation, leading to a Certificate of Specialization in Harvard Digital.
Currently, he is the National Treasurer and a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators, Inc. (PSITE) National, and the Board of Trustees of the Council of Deans for Information Technology Educators (CODITE) National Capital Region. Since 2015, he has served as a Member of the CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for Information Technology Education and Entertainment and Multimedia Computing programs for the National Capital Region.
Dr. Macatangga is also an IT Consultant for various local and international companies. He is a book author and editor of local computer books in the country and serves as a local and international accreditor for the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities โ Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) and the PCS Information and Computing Accreditation Board (PICAB).
In 2025, he was accepted as an ABET Program Evaluator for Computer Science and began visiting foreign higher educational institutions under CSAB, the lead ABET member society for the accreditation of degree programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, and Software Engineering.
Dr. Macatangga was appointed as the Founding Chair of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Manila chapter last March 2026. The establishment of the ACM Manila Chapter signals an expansion of the organizationโs presence in the Philippines, providing a platform for computing educators, researchers, and industry professionals to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and address emerging challenges in the field.

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) formally approved the charter of the Manila Chapter on 23 March 2026, marking a significant development in the countryโs computing and information technology landscape.
Dr. Raymond S. Macatangga, Dean of the College of Computer Studies at Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU), was appointed as the chapterโs founding Chair. Joining him in the leadership team is Dr. Londren Velasco, OLFU Information Technology Program Head, who will serve as Membership Chair.

CLASS MODALITY UPDATE

Attention: OLFU Campuses
Valenzuela

Laguna
Following a directive issued out by the DILG or the Department of Local and Interior Government, OLFU is suspending face-to-face classes in the abovementioned campuses due to the continued rains brought about by the low pressure area and the southwest monsoon.
Alternatively, students in the said OLFU Campuses are advised to shift to Online Synchronous Classes. Additionally, be advised that SHS Exams today are hereby postponed to Monday, September 8th--- same time schedules and venues.
Be this as it may, all offices remain fully operational onsite, while the OLFU Concierge is accessible online as per the usual.
