In celebration of Reading Month, we are officially launching our Book Donation Drive, running from November 17–26, 2025!

Let’s work together to fill our Reading Nooks with stories that inspire, excite, and spark young imaginations. ✨

📘 What to Donate:
Students are encouraged to donate story books or fiction books for our Reading Nooks.

📘 Where to Submit:
Please give your donated books to your Reading Club Grade Level Representative or your subject teacher for documentation.

🏆 Friendly Competition Alert!

At our culminating activity, the section (per grade level) with the highest number of donated books will receive the 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 !

We are pleased to inform you that our school, through the initiative of the English Department, has officially launched the School Literacy Program rooted from the Regional Effort for Advancing Literacy (REAL) program under the Regional Remediation Program (RRP) of the Department of Education, which runs from May 14, 2025 to June 9, 2025.

This ongoing program is designed to help our students strengthen their reading and writing skills — essential competencies that support both academic achievement and lifelong learning.

Malanday National High School wrapped up National Reading Month with an exciting awarding ceremony, amazing Speech Choir performances from our grade-level champions, and a surprise raffle that kept everyone on their toes! 🎤🏆

Huge thanks to our school head, Dr. Arcenoel Zapatos, for your unwavering support, and to all the teachers who made this event possible. A special shoutout to the students who actively participated and made this week-long celebration a success! 🙌 Your enthusiasm made this journey truly unforgettable.

📚✨ Drop Everything and Read! ✨📚

On November 22, 2024, at exactly 9:00 AM, we came together as one school community for a special Drop Everything and Read event in celebration of Araw ng Pagbasa and National Reading Month! 🌟

Students, teachers, our school head, administrators, and even non-teaching personnel all picked up their favorite books and read together for a few moments of peaceful escape and learning. It was a beautiful sight to see the whole school engaged in this synchronized reading activity! 📖💫

This event isn't just about reading for fun – it's about fostering a culture of reading in our school and spreading that love of books throughout our entire community. Let’s keep the reading momentum going! 📚💡

On November 22, 2024, Grade 7 students at Malanday NHS had an exciting Guest Reader storytelling activity at the Malanday NHS Activity Center! 🎉

Mr. Gilbert Ramos, known for his engaging storytelling skills, delighted students with wonderful stories, brought to life with the help of his lively puppet, Popoy Valenzuela. Joining in the fun, Ms. Maria Theresa Bongat transformed into the adorable Big Bird, making the session even more memorable! 🦜🎭

The students were actively engaged, eagerly participating in discussions and sharing what they learned from the stories. It was a wonderful celebration of imagination, creativity, and the love for reading! 📖💡
