The Our Lady of Fatima University is a proud member of the Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) and participated in the recently held AUAP 15th General Conference in Dhaka, Bangladesh from November 14 -16, 2022 hosted by Daffodil International University. The primary objective of AUAP is to create a modern and effective platform for the overall development of universities in Asia and the Pacific by fostering cordial relations of mutual understanding and cooperation among the member universities of the organization.
A new set of officers were elected which will serve from 2023 to 2024, namely President - Dr. Khan from Bangladesh, 1st VP - Dr. Gupta from India, 2nd VP - Dr. Pusca from Romania, with OLFU President, Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez, having been included again as a member of its Advisory Board.
The AUAP welcomed 32 Universities from around the world with special guests that included Dr. Fernando Leon-Garcia, President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), and several government officials of Bangladesh including Dhaka's South City Mayor Nur Taposh.
OLFU was represented in this important event by Dr. Rodehlia L. Macaspac, Manager of the Center for Professional Development and Academic Partnership.

Congratulations to our PhDN Batch 2019 alumnus and currently a faculty of the Department of Nursing and Allied Health of OLFU Graduate School, Dr. Christian Jay S. Orte for being awarded as Best Paper Presenter for the recently concluded International Multidisciplinary Research Colloquium 2021 hosted by the President Ramon Magsaysay Technological University (held August 10-11, 2021) with the theme: "Strengthening Research for a Batter Normal". His paper was entitled "Saudi Nurses' Caring Attributes, Professional Self-Concept, and Technological Influences: A Cross-Sectional Correlational Study." π

Dr Michael Aggari finished his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and pursue his Master of Science in Nursing major in Adult Health (MSN-AHN) in 2014 with focus in Cardiology Nursing. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhDN) major in Nursing Administration 2019. Since he believes in lifelong learning, he is currently taking-up his second Masterβs degree in Business Administration in order to hone his talent and skills of being a leader and manager in the field of nursing. Moreover, he is now undergoing a fellowship training from the Association of Nursing Service Administrator of the Philippines.
He started his career in nursing as a volunteer nurse. When he obtained his license, he became an Emergency Room Staff Nurse and later, Head-Nurse. After he gained the necessary skills in management, he serves as TB-DOTS Nurse, Department of Health (DOH)-HIV/AIDS Counselor, Infection Control Nurse Supervisor and later, promoted as its dynamic Assistant Chief Nurse. Because of his expertise in nursing administration, he was then invited to become the Director of Nursing Service in one of the hospitals in the Philippines and undergoing consultancy in other institution in the field of nursing.
Dr Aggari, is not only a certified nurse-administrator but also an educator, wherein he became faculty of the Graduate School. At present he is the coordinator of the said program. He also became an associate professor. A part-time faculty for Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
As he advocates in public health and community extension services, he founded the Help Other People Everywhere (HOPE) foundation which is a socio-civic organization initially formed in 2013 with the goal of helping the victims of typhoon Yolanda. Since then, HOPE has conducted various outreach programs aimed at ameliorating the plight of adversely affected communities and this organization was nominated to be given a Bayaning Filipino Award by Gawad Geny Lopez Jr. Foundation of ABS-CBN in 2020. Dr. Aggari obtained his PhDN in OLFU (2019)

Our condolences to the family of Nurse Joan Dionisio, MAN Batch 2010, former CI OLFU College of Nursing. Before her death she served as a nurse and head of the records section of San Lorenzo Hospital, Malabon City. May she rest in peace. π
