The ValTech Engineering Railway Association of Innovative Leaders (VERAIL) successfully conducted a seminar today, May 15, 2026, in partnership with Colas Rail Philippines.
Held at the ValTech Auditorium, the seminar on railway systems covered Signalling, Power Supply, and Tracks. Through this initiative, students gained valuable industry insights and practical knowledge in the field of railway technology.
Also held today was the Special Job Fair for TVET Graduates: โTraining to Trabahoโ organized by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority - National Capital Region (TESDA-NCR) in partnership with San Miguel Corporation at the TESDA Multipurpose Gym, TESDA Complex, Taguig City. TESDA Regional and District Directors were also in attendance during the event.
ValTech extends its gratitude to its valued partners, Colas Rail and TESDA, for their continued support and collaboration in advancing technical education, workforce development, and industry-academe partnerships.

Valenzuela City Technological College โ The Engineering Technology Department of Valenzuela City Technological College successfully conducted a special seminar featuring distinguished international guest speakers from Italy, aimed at strengthening studentsโ knowledge and awareness in modern railway construction and infrastructure technology.
Held on May 9, 2026, at the VALTECH Auditorium, the seminar carried the theme Boldโ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐
๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฌ.โ Students from BET-Railway Technology, Civil Technology, and Welding and Fabrication Technology Diploma programs attended the event as part of the institutionโs initiative to expose learners to global standards and modern engineering practices.
The seminar welcomed two renowned experts in the field of infrastructure and railway engineering. The first speaker, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฆ๐จ ๐

๐๐๐๐ | VALTECH-SSC Joins CTRL + YOUTH Roadshow on Shaping ASEANโs Digital Future
Quezon City, Philippines โ The VALTECH Supreme Student Council (VALTECH-SSC) participated in the CTRL + YOUTH Roadshow: Shaping ASEANโs Digital Future โ NCR Leg, held at the GT-Toyota Asian Center in Quezon City.
The event gathered youth leaders, student organizations, and advocates from various institutions to discuss key issues such as digital resilience, responsible technology use, innovation, connectivity, and youth participation in nation-building. It served as a platform to empower young individuals to become proactive contributors in building a safer, smarter, and more inclusive digital future for the ASEAN community.
As representatives of the student body, the VALTECH-SSC expressed its gratitude for the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration with fellow youth leaders. The Council emphasized the significance of youth involvement in shaping policies, strengthening communities, and expanding opportunities in the digital age.
Through participation in initiatives such as this, VALTECH-SSC reaffirms its commitment to amplifying the voices of the youth and promoting awareness, collaboration, and innovation within the institution and beyond.
The CTRL + YOUTH Roadshow is spearheaded by Tayo ang Taya, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), aiming to empower the youth as active leaders and changemakers in todayโs digital generation.

Innovation, skills, and future-ready minds in one room ๐ค
IN PHOTOS: The City Government of Valenzuela, under the leadership of Mayor WES Gatchalian, warmly welcomed the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines as they kicked off their Student Summit and Skills Competition 2026 at Valenzuela City Technological College (ValTech) Auditorium today, April 30, 2026.
This summit featured technical seminars, an induction ceremony, and a high-level mechatronics skills competition participated in by students from higher education institutions such as Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) - Manila, Cebu Technological University - Danao, and Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT)โhighlighting collaboration and excellence across regions.
Further, in the competition results, MSU-IIT placed 1st, ValTech Team A secured 2nd place, TUP - Manila placed 3rd, and ValTech Team B finished in 4th place.
Following their strong performance, ValTech Team A competitors will participate in the mid-year Mechatronics Conference at the Mall of Asia and compete in the 2026 NCR Mechatronics WorldSkills Competition.

๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | ValTech Holds Hemophilia Awareness Seminar
In celebration of Hemophilia Awareness Month, ValTech organized a special seminar on April 22, 2026, to help students better understand hemophiliaโits causes, factors, and treatments.
Held at the Multi-Purpose Hall on the 6th floor, the event ran from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. It aimed to raise awareness about the symptoms, blood clotting requirements, and possible complications of the condition, particularly how the blood does not clot properly.
Participants learned essential information, including the signs to watch forโsuch as excessive bleeding, delayed clotting, and easy bruising. They were also informed about what to avoid, including certain medications and high-impact activities, to ensure their safety.
The seminar emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, proper care, and maintaining a safe lifestyle. It also encouraged students to share accurate information and help eliminate the stigma surrounding the condition.
This initiative is part of the schoolโs efforts to build a caring and well-informed community. As highlighted in the nurseโs message: โAs long as students continue to discover new knowledge like hemophilia, they are inspired to share and teach others.โ

ValTech Fuels the Push for Global Skills Excellence
Today, April 21, Valenzuela City Technological College (ValTech) proudly took part in the kick-off ceremonies of the World Skills Competition at the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Central Office in Taguig City.
Leading the charge were our four student representatives: Hero Masilang and John Carlo Matias (Mechatronics Technology) and Shanelle Gloriaga and Jcen Reyes (Railway Technology). They are set to compete in the Regional Skills Olympics 2026 next month, alongside fellow competitors from across the National Capital Region.
Accompanying the team were Engineering Technology Dean Dr. Gaudencio Quinton Jr., Dr. James Bernard Itao, and trainer Mr. Robert Cabanban.
The WorldSkills platform continues to champion world-class skills, innovation, and industry readiness to empower the next generation of Filipino talent.
