Collaborating for a Healthier Philippines: Gen. Tiburcio De Leon
National High School at OLLHβs Brainiac Year 3
"The future of healthcare depends on young minds daring to innovate today."
The Gen. Tiburcio De Leon National High School students had an unforgettable journey at the Brainiac: Clash of the Sci-Tech Champs Year 3. Their experience was filled with excitement and learning. This prestigious event, hosted by Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, a renowned non-profit tertiary hospital committed to Christ-centered, high-quality care and holistic healing, is more than just a battle of intellect. Brainiac is a celebration of research, innovation, and a common goal of creating a better, healthier future for our country.
Our students knew they were part of something extraordinary from the moment they stepped into the contest venue. Competing against some of the brightest students in the National Capital Region challenged them to broaden their knowledge, push their limits, and embrace the true essence of teamwork. Every part of the competition tested not only their academic prowess but also their ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
The two most thrilling parts of the competition are the Quiz Bowl and Robotics Challenge. In the Quiz Bowl, our students encountered challenging questions that required quick thinking, logical reasoning, and teamwork. While in the Robotics Challenge, our students demonstrated their innovative skills by designing revolutionary robotic projects intended to making a meaningful impact in healthcare. Both contests moved them one step closer to reaching their full potential and increased their understanding of how Science and Technology shape the future.
Brainiac promoted a spirit of collaboration among our students. Whether they were discussing groundbreaking scientific findings, arguing over research procedures, or working through challenging mathematics problems, every minute of the competition demonstrated the power of perseverance and unity. Each team member contributed their unique strengths to help the group become stronger.
Our studentsβ belief that Science and Technology are important to creating a healthier Philippines has been strengthened by their involvement in this competition. Brainiac is a powerful reminder that scientific discoveries are the foundation of medical innovation, healthcare developments, and long-term solutions to the pressing problems today. Our students developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between scientific discovery and public health through the competitionβs stimulating challenges.
Their time at Brainiac has inspired them to have bigger dreams, be innovative, and contribute to building a stronger healthcare system. The mission of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital inspired them to explore novel approaches that can improve medical efficiency and peopleβs lives.
The entire community of Gen. Tiburcio De Leon National High School is profoundly grateful to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for organizing this meaningful event. It is truly commendable how committed they are to molding the next generation of leaders in Science and Technology.
More than just a competition, Brainiac is an invitation to embrace the wonders of Science and Technology, seek knowledge that changes peopleβs lives, and champion education as a driving force for national development. We encourage institutions, educators, and students to get involved in programs like these and support the noble objective of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital to create a better, healthier, and more innovative Philippines.
As our representatives advance to the Finals of Brainiac Year 3, they carry with them not just the honor of qualifying but also the lessons and inspiration gained from this incredible journey. Let us work together to champion Science and Technology, promote innovation, and create a brighter future for all.
