San Pedro Academy–Recoletos extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Malene, our former Educator, Guidance Associate, and Table Tennis Chaperone, for her generous donation amounting to ₱12,000.00 in support of the needs and activities of our school community.

The Recoletos de Caidiocan Community, together with the students of San Pedro Academy - Recoletos and parishioners of St. Ezekiel Moreno Quasi Parish, joyfully welcomed the 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒕. 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔, a profound moment of faith, prayer, and spiritual encounter for our community.

The visit began with a welcoming rite and catechesis on the life and spirituality of St. John of the Cross, delivered by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Christopher V. Gaspar, OAR. Through his reflection, the students and parishioners were given a deeper appreciation of the saint’s life and his call to seek God through prayer, humility, and love.

The students then had the opportunity to venerate the relic, spend time in prayer, and offer their personal intentions before God—a beautiful expression of faith and devotion.

The visit culminated in a Farewell Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Christopher V. Gaspar, OAR, Parish Priest of St. Ezekiel Moreno Quasi Parish. The celebration became a fitting conclusion to this grace-filled encounter, reminding everyone that the presence of the saints continues to inspire us to draw closer to Christ.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀?

𝙎𝙩. 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 (1542–1591) was a Spanish Carmelite priest, mystic, poet, and spiritual writer. Together with St. Teresa of Ávila, he helped reform the Carmelite Order. He is especially remembered for his teachings on prayer, spiritual growth, detachment, and the journey of the soul toward union with God. He was declared a 𝘿𝙤𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙝 in 1926.

May the example of St. John of the Cross inspire our students and the entire Recoletos community to seek God more deeply, especially in prayer, silence, and faithful service.

For the 4th consecutive year of competing in the NORAA Meet, our Recoletos Table Tennis Team continues to bring pride and honor to Valencia Municipality, Valencia District, and San Pedro Academy–Recoletos.

This has been one of our toughest battles yet. The sacrifices, sleepless days, difficult training, and countless challenges were never easy. But when the time was right, the Lord made it happen once again.

The administration extends its sincere appreciation to all SHS Subject Teachers for their active participation, openness to continuous learning, and unwavering commitment to professional growth and quality education.

As a learning community, SPA-R continues to strengthen its teachers, enrich instruction, and empower educators toward the holistic formation and success of every learner.

Today, we celebrate our holy father, St. Augustine of Hippo, and the beautiful gift his life continues to share with the Church—the gift of humility. 🤎

A heart that once wandered learned to surrender. A brilliant mind learned to bow before Truth. And a restless soul discovered that true greatness is found not in oneself, but in God.

May St. Augustine teach us to embrace humility: to acknowledge that we are always in need of God’s grace, to seek the truth with an open heart, and to use whatever gifts we have in loving service to others.
