As we officially sign off as the Criminology Student Council Officers for SY 2025–2026, we look back with grateful hearts for the experiences, challenges, friendships, and memories we gained throughout our journey.

Serving the Criminology student body has been both an honor and a responsibility. We sincerely thank our Dean, Dr. Hylyn B. Canda, for the guidance and support extended to the council.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our CSC Adviser, Ninith V. Galamiton, and CSC Assistant Adviser, Jay Arr B. Varquezz, for your patience, guidance, and continuous support throughout our term.

To our faculty and staff, thank you for your unwavering support and for always being there for us. We are especially grateful for your support during our activities and programs, which helped make our term meaningful and successful.

To our fellow Criminology students and our CSC subordinates, thank you for your trust, cooperation, and support. Every achievement we accomplished was made possible because we worked together as one Criminology family.

To the incoming CSC officers, may you continue to serve with integrity, commitment, and genuine concern for the student body. Lead with purpose, serve with humility, and always remember why you started.

This is not goodbye to the family we built only the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.

On August 14, the Criminology Student Council (CSC) Officers, together with the Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education, Ma’am Hylyn B. Canda, RCRIM, MSCRIM; our CSC Adviser, Sir Jay Arr Varquez; our dedicated faculty instructors; and the newly elected CSC Officers, gathered for the Turnover Ceremony.

With the theme, “Rooted in Service, Growing in Leadership, Building on a Foundation of Excellence, While Empowering the Next Generation of Student Leaders,” the ceremony marked more than just the transition of positions. It symbolized the passing of responsibilities, values, experiences, and aspirations from one generation of student leaders to the next.

The outgoing officers proudly turned over the responsibilities they carried, reflecting on the challenges they faced, the lessons they learned, and the accomplishments they achieved throughout their term. Their journey serves as a reminder that true leadership is measured not only by achievements, but by the positive impact and meaningful legacy left behind.

Meanwhile, the newly elected officers accepted the responsibility with commitment and determination, ready to continue the work and uphold the values of service, integrity, leadership, and excellence. May they lead with purpose, serve with compassion, and inspire their fellow Criminology students to become better leaders and responsible future professionals.

As one chapter comes to an end, another begins. May the new generation of CSC leaders continue to carry the torch with courage, dedication, and excellence.
