SMT Acquaintance | Part 2

Last July 19, the School of Medical Technology officially broke the ice for the school year with the SMT Acquaintance Party! This year's theme, “Went to the wrong event,” brought out the absolute best (and most chaotic) creativity from our students.

The venue looked less like a school party and more like a multiverse crossover. We had students dressed up as the literal core emotions from Inside Out walking right past people casually chilling in cozy animal onesies. From tactical secret agents and security guards on high alert to corporate boardroom executives, no two outfits matched—and that’s exactly what made the night unforgettable.

Beyond the hilarious costumes, it was the perfect night to welcome our fresh faces, catch up with old friends, and set the energy for the busy academic year ahead. The theme was all about being in the wrong place, but there is no doubt that our SMT family is exactly where we belong! 🩺💙

Care Group 1 Visits Kalauyanan Church 🏛️❤️

True fellowship knows no boundaries! Last July 18, the members of Care Group 1 made their way to the church in Kalauyanan for a special day of visitation, connection, and shared worship.

It was a beautiful opportunity to extend encouragement, share inspiring testimonies, and join together in intentional prayer alongside our local church family there. Moments like these remind us of the strength found in uniting through faith and stepping beyond our usual routine to build up the wider body.

A heartfelt thank you to the church in Kalauyanan for opening their doors and welcoming Care Group 1 with such incredible warmth and hospitality! 🌟

In the middle of a demanding week of classes and responsibilities, finding a moment to pause and reflect makes all the difference. Last July 15, the School of Medical Technology gathered for the Midweek Service—a dedicated time for worship, prayer, and finding encouragement together.

It was a beautiful evening of stepping away from the busyness of school to focus on what grounds us, lifting up our burdens, and refueling our spirits for the days ahead. Thank you to everyone who joined us in fellowship. Let’s carry this peace into the rest of the week! 🤍

🌿 1st Sabbath Retreat | School of Medical Technology 🌿

What a blessed way to begin the journey! 💙

Our 1st Sabbath Retreat reminded us that true strength, wisdom, and purpose are found when we remain in Jesus Christ. As future Medical Technologists, knowledge and skills are essential, but a life rooted in Christ gives us the character, compassion, and integrity to serve others faithfully.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing." — John 15:5

As we continue this academic journey, we hold on to God's promise:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

May we remain connected to the True Vine, trusting that the One who has called us also has a beautiful purpose for our lives. Through every challenge, laboratory activity, examination, and future patient encounter, may we continue to walk by faith, knowing that God's plans are always for our good and His glory.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who made this meaningful Sabbath Retreat possible. May we continue to grow in faith, excellence, and service as one MedTech family.

🩸💉 "First stick, no panic... hopefully! 😅"

The School of Medical Technology officially lent its phlebotomy training arm to our students for hands-on venipuncture practice during Sinugdanan 2026. No patients were harmed—just a few nervous laughs, shaky hands, and lots of learning! 🤭

Today, students discovered that drawing blood takes more than courage—it requires skill, precision, patience, and a steady hand. Every successful venipuncture is a step closer to becoming a competent and compassionate Medical Technologist.

Remember: Behind every expert MedTech was once a student asking, "Sir/Ma'am, is this the vein?" 😂

Learning by doing, growing by practicing, and preparing for the future—one vein at a time! 💙🔬✨
