In an event filled with camaraderie, challenges, and a little taste of adventure straight out of Kumandra, the 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗴 emerged triumphant, showcasing strength, strategy, and unity throughout the day. From the very start, their spirited chants and unyielding teamwork set the tone, as they faced off with nine other tribes, competing for the top spot in a series of fun and competitive games. The culmination of their hard work and fierce determination saw them crowned as the overall champions, echoing the strength of Fang’s warriors in the legendary tale of Kumandra.

As the tribes came together once more at the end of the event, it was clear that though Fang stood victorious, the true essence of the day was unity — reuniting under one banner, just like the journey to restore Kumandra.

In a stunning blend of creativity, unity, and engineering spirit, the 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗦) brought to life the highly anticipated 𝗔𝗕𝗘 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 with the theme "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗥𝗔." Drawing inspiration from the 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘮 "𝘙𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯," the event celebrated teamwork, resilience, and the spirit of unity.

The entire event was a testament to the dedication and collaboration between the 𝗖𝗠𝗨-𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘀, and 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 who selflessly offered their help. The 𝗣𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗘-𝗣𝗣𝗚 𝗖𝗠𝗨 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 also contributed significantly to both the event's preparation and the restoration of the venue afterward. Their efforts ensured that ABE Day 2024 would not only be a success but a memorable experience for everyone involved.

As the event began, the atmosphere was reminiscent of the vibrant, sun-filled scenes from 𝘙𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯. Clear skies and sunny weather greeted the participants, adding to the anticipation and excitement. Midway through the event, dark clouds threatened rain, but, like the movie, it rained gently with sunshine still peeking through. The rain was brief and calm, symbolizing unity and trust — a perfect parallel to the day’s theme, ending with clear skies and an unforgettable event.

The event kicked off with a burst of energy as participants eagerly engaged in icebreakers, team listings, attendance, and Tribe roll calls. The excitement heightened when the event was formally opened by 𝗖𝗠𝗨-𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗚. 𝗗𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻, followed by an inspiring speech from the 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗜𝗮𝗻 𝗠. 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗮𝘇𝗼. In his speech, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗮𝘇𝗼 shared a unique perspective on the meaning of 𝘼𝘽𝙀, emphasizing that it stands for "𝘼𝘤𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴, 𝘽𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝙀𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱," which resonated deeply with the students. One of the major highlights of the day was the Team Chant Competition, where each tribe showcased their unique chant, setting the stage for friendly competition.

After a refreshing lunch break, the fun games began, with teams made up of students from all year levels—1st to 4th years—working together to compete for the top spot. These games, filled with strategy and team spirit, embodied the event’s central theme of unity, as every student, regardless of year level, contributed to their tribe's success.

As the games continued, a brief but symbolic rain shower fell. Just like in 𝘙𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯, the rain represented the theme of trust and unity, reminding everyone that even in moments of uncertainty, we are stronger together. The rain didn’t stop the fun, and once it passed, the games resumed with even more enthusiasm.

The event closed with a heartwarming unity chant, where all tribes came together to once again form "𝗞𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗥𝗔."

Adding to the thrill of the day was the raffle draw, where several lucky ABESS students won prizes ranging from 𝙠𝙚𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨, 𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝘼𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙, 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮, 𝙖 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧. But that wasn’t all—the event had a special twist! Just like in 𝘙𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯, each tribe received a Dragon Gem at the start of the day, which they had to protect throughout the games. Tribes could steal gems from one another, adding a layer of excitement and strategy to the event. At the end of the day, the 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 emerged victorious with 2 gems, and the 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲 claimed the most with 3 gems. Unfortunately, the 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘄 and 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗴 ended the day without any gem. (𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯 𝘎𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 11, 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘥𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴)

In the final awards ceremony, the 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗴 claimed the top spot in the overall competition, with loud cheers accompanying their well-earned victory. The 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 took second place, while the 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲 rounded out the top three. Every tribe gave their all, but the Fang's victory was highlighted by their unforgettable team chant and sheer determination.

As the event came to an end, everyone helped clean up the venue, making sure it was neat and tidy, just like it was before. The spirit of teamwork lasted until the very end, as ABESS members worked together to leave the place spotless.

ABE Day 2024 will be remembered not only for the fun and games but also for how it brought the whole ABE community together, to celebrate unity, strength, and a bright future ahead. It was a resounding success, not just for the fun and games, but for what it symbolized: the return to Kumandra, the restoration of unity, trust, and teamwork. As 𝗖𝗠𝗨-𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗘𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗼 closed the event, she echoed the sentiment felt by all: “𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙚; 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙆𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙖, 𝙬𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙.”

Indeed, the return to Kumandra was not just a theme—it was a reality lived out by every student, officer, and participant at ABE Day 2024. May this day mark the beginning of stronger bonds, greater achievements, and a united future in agricultural and biosystems engineering! 🔰

✨ The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗦𝗔𝗴𝗘𝗦) has officially transitioned to the 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗦) following an overwhelming 93.31% vote from the student body. This change reflects the program's evolution in accordance with 𝗖𝗠𝗢 𝟵𝟰 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳, embracing both 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 Engineering in our identity.

As part of the 114th Unified Foundation Day celebration, SAgES hosted the ABE Technology Seminar for students on the morning of September 13, 2024. The event took place at the New Education Building, 2nd Floor, with Engr. Jecar Dadole as the esteemed guest speaker. Under the theme "Innovating Agri-Technologies: Shaping the Future of Global Food Security through Advanced Technologies and Sustainable Solutions," the seminar highlighted the important role of agricultural innovations in addressing global food challenges. The event began promptly at 8:00 AM, with participants arriving between 7:30 and 8:00 AM for attendance. It was an inspiring session that allowed students to explore cutting-edge agri-technologies and sustainable solutions for the future.

On September 13, 2024, the celebration of the 114th Unified Foundation Day at Central Mindanao University continued with enthusiasm. This day was particularly special as alumni from the College of Engineering gathered to reconnect and celebrate their shared experiences. SAgES maintained our ABE Booth in the COE-AVR, where the fun continued with engaging games and activities for all attendees. One of the alumni even visited our booth, joining in the fun and sharing their insights with current students. This atmosphere of camaraderie not only enhanced our celebration but also allowed us to forge connections across different year levels and generations. Let’s cherish these moments and continue to build a vibrant SAgES community!

From September 11-13, 2024, Central Mindanao University (CMU) celebrated its 114th Unified Foundation Day and Alumni Homecoming. The festivities kicked off on the evening of the first day, leading to a lively parade and various activities on the second day. SAgES set up a booth in the College of Engineering, originally planned for the Engineering Grounds. However, due to heavy rain, we moved the ABE Booth indoors to the COE-AVR. Throughout the event, we hosted fun games, activities, and creative experiences, ensuring everyone had a great time. This celebration provided a wonderful opportunity for students from different year levels to connect and bond. Let’s continue to strengthen our SAgES community and make lasting memories together!
