On 7 November 2025, the VCI ROTC Unit proudly joined the PCAP Bukidnon-Wide Criminology Week Celebration 2025 with the presence of the Colors Detail. Criminology students, faculty, and professionals gathered at the Philippine College Foundation, Valencia City, carrying the theme:
“Upholding Justice Through Excellence and Integrity in Criminology Practice.”

The event featured an inspiring keynote address from Hon. Robert Boje, RCrim, and showcased the unity and dedication of criminology institutions across the province. Schools from Bukidnon came together to celebrate professional growth, excellence, and service to the community.

Hosted by the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAP) Bukidnon Chapter, the celebration highlighted the shared commitment to justice, integrity, and the continuous strengthening of the criminology profession.

Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit

As the training period comes to an end, the cadets of the VCI ROTC Unit gathered for their Final Examination and Quick Drill Evaluation during the last Sunday Formation of the semester. The activity aimed to assess the knowledge, discipline, and skills that the cadets have developed throughout their ROTC journey.
The written examination tested their understanding of military lessons, leadership, and values, while the drill evaluation showcased their mastery of precision, coordination, and teamwork core elements of military discipline.

The day marked not just the end of another training phase, but a reflection of every cadet’s growth, dedication, and commitment to serve with integrity and excellence. Truly, each formation strengthens their resolve to live by the ROTC values of duty, honor, and service to God, country, and people.

Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit

On 19 Oct 2025 the day’s training began with the recall of Basic Commands, reinforcing discipline, precision, and unity among cadets. Afterward, a timely and informative session on Cybersecurity Awareness was conducted by representatives from NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE COORDINATING AGENCY (NICA), emphasizing the importance of protecting information, recognizing online threats, and practicing responsible digital behavior as part of national security and personal safety.

In the afternoon, the lectures continued with Glyzl Jee E Latoza, JD, who discussed the Rule of Law, reminding cadets that every citizen and soldier is bound by justice, accountability, and integrity. This was followed by the Basic Life Support (BLS) lecture and demonstration led by Sgt Zeal Mark G Taboada PA (Res) and Sgt Danny C Suniga PA (Res), focusing on lifesaving skills, quick response, and preparedness during emergencies.
Before the day concluded, the trimline of the aspiring cadets was also held marking another important step in their journey toward becoming disciplined leaders. This moment symbolizes growth, dedication, and the unwavering determination to serve with honor and excellence.

The main learning from the day’s sessions is that a true cadet must be disciplined, law-abiding, vigilant, and ready to serve whether in protecting digital security, upholding justice, or saving lives. Each lesson strengthens the cadets’ commitment to serve God, country, and people with competence and integrity.
