Riding the Wave of Change!
Last September 19, 2023 in celebration of National Science Month, the UNHS SSLG joined forces with our passionate students and dedicated teachers to embark on a mission that goes beyond the classroom - a Coastal Cleanup!
We believe that science isn't just about books and labs; it's about understanding and safeguarding our planet. That's why, under the clear blue skies and with the sound of waves crashing in the background, we rolled up our sleeves and made a difference.
Together, we combed the shorelines, picking up every piece of litter, and witnessed the immediate impact of our actions as the beach transformed before our eyes. But it's more than just cleaning up; it's about inspiring change. We hope our small efforts will ripple through our community, reminding everyone that every piece of trash picked up is a step toward a cleaner, greener future. This Coastal Cleanup wasn't just about cleaning; it was about creating a connection between science, the environment, and our shared responsibility.
