Excellence after receiving a Certificate of Recognition from the Professional Regulation Commission–Professional Regulatory Board of Electrical Engineering for securing 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The campus achieved an impressive 94.12% passing rate among institutions with 30 or more examinees and at least 85% overall passing percentage, earning distinction for its exemplary performance nationwide. 𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗟𝗨𝗣𝗔 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 — Three Computer Engineering students from 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 – 𝙐𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙖 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨 (𝙋𝙎𝙐-𝙐𝘾𝘾) made their mark at the International Metals and Engineering Conference (IMEC) 2026 after successfully presenting their capstone project before a national and international audience on June 18, 2026 at Acacia Hotel Manila.

Embedded Systems majors 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗺, 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗼, and 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇 represented PSU-UCC with their research, "Development of a Semi-Automated Fumigation Service Robot for Educational Institutions," under the guidance of 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗟. 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗔. 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 as adviser and co-adviser, respectively.

The project was accepted for publication in the conference journal Philippine Metals, marking another milestone for the department’s “𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘴.”

The presentation was part of 𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the flagship annual conference of the Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC) under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the centerpiece of Metals and Engineering Week 2026.

Their successful presentation and upcoming publication bring recognition not only to the students but also to the PSU-UCC Computer Engineering Department.

Exemplifying dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence, the cadet officers of the PSU Urdaneta ROTC Unit successfully completed the Reserve Officers' Training Corps Summer Camp Training (RSCT) and Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT), achieving another remarkable milestone in their development as future leaders and defenders of the nation.

Held from 18 May to 14 June 2026 at the Headquarters, 1st Regional Community Defense Group (1RCDG), Camp Lt. Tito B Abat, Manaoag, Pangasinan, the training brought together cadets and cadettes from various ROTC units throughout Region I. Throughout the program, participants underwent numerous military instruction, leadership enhancement activities, administrative management training, field exercises, tactical operations, and practical leadership applications aimed at preparing them for greater responsibilities within the Reserve Force and their respective ROTC units.

The RSCT and ARAPT programs are vital components in shaping future leaders of the Reserve Force. Through these trainings, cadets are transformed into disciplined, competent, and mission-ready individuals who embody the core values of honor, patriotism, integrity, and selfless service. More than acquiring military knowledge and skills, they have learned the importance of teamwork, accountability, sacrifice, and dedication to the nation.

The PSU Urdaneta ROTC Unit proudly recognizes the hard work, sacrifices, and perseverance of its cadet officers who have successfully completed this prestigious training. Their accomplishment reflects their readiness to assume greater leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and excellence of the unit.

As they return to their respective posts, these newly trained cadet officers carry with them valuable knowledge, enhanced leadership skills, and a renewed commitment to serve both their institution and the nation.

‎The Pinning and Hard Hatting Ceremony marked a significant milestone for the 3rd and 4th Year Computer Engineering students of Pangasinan State University – Urdaneta City Campus. The event celebrated the students’ transition from academic preparation to industry exposure. The ceremony was graced by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐄. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐄, Campus Executive Director; 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐱 𝐁. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐥, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture; and 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐲-𝐀𝐫 𝐌. 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐬, Chairperson of the Computer Engineering Department. ‎Anchored on the theme “Beyond Innovation: Computer Engineers in Service of People, Nation, and Future,” the ceremony highlighted not only the students’ achievements but also their responsibility as future engineers. The pinning and hard hatting rites symbolized their readiness to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings, with 3rd-year students preparing for their internship journey and 4th-year students moving closer to graduation. Surrounded by faculty members, parents, and guardians, the students were reminded of their commitment to innovation, service, and leadership in shaping a better future through technology.
