The Philippine National Police (PNP) Urdaneta City Police Station, in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and K9 officers, conducted a simulated Active Shooter Drill at Anonas National High School on August 25, 2026, to strengthen the preparedness of students, teachers, and school personnel during emergency situations.

The activity was a planned emergency simulation and not an actual active-shooter incident. The participating agencies worked with the school to demonstrate appropriate emergency response procedures and promote safety and awareness among the school community.

One of the main lessons emphasized during the simulation was the RUN–ALERT–SECURE/HIDE–INFORM procedure. Students and school personnel were guided on how to respond quickly, remain alert, secure themselves when necessary, and inform authorities during an emergency.

The drill also provided an opportunity for the school and emergency responders to practice coordination and improve their response procedures. Students were reminded to remain calm, follow instructions, and prioritize their safety during emergency situations.

Through the simulated exercise, the PNP, BFP, K9 officers, and the school community highlighted the importance of preparedness, cooperation, and awareness in maintaining a safe school environment.

The activity was conducted solely for training and preparedness purposes and did not involve an actual active-shooter situation.

The Team That Tells Our Story

Every school has stories to tell, stories of students finding their voices, teachers guiding young minds, and communities growing together. At Anonas National High School, the English Club helps bring these stories to life. Through language, creativity, and teamwork, its members become more than students in an organization; they become a team that gives voice to the stories of their school.

The English Club brings together students and teachers with a common purpose: to strengthen the use of English while encouraging students to communicate with confidence. More than an academic organization, it provides a space where ideas can be shared, talents can be developed, and experiences can be turned into meaningful stories.

Behind every activity are members who work together to make things happen, each person plays a different role, but their efforts come together toward one goal. The photographs of the English Club capture one of those moments of connection. Standing together on the stage, students and teachers are seen not as separate individuals, but as one team.

But the story of the English Club is not written by one person. It is created by every member who contributes an idea, lends a hand, accepts a responsibility, or simply encourages a fellow member. Every activity adds another page to their journey, and every experience becomes part of the story they share.

The English Club is a team that tells stories, not only through written words, but through actions, experiences, and the relationships they build. Anonas National High School continues to be shaped by different voices working toward one purpose.
